MT5 Version“Dow Theory” + Candlestick ActionExclusive for EURJPYAutomated Trading EA ☆ Main Overview and Features
“Initial move to the 3rdwave area ZONE” “Candlestick Price Action” With these two types,EURJPYisautomatically entered and closed by an MT5 automated trading program. Basic specs: 1-hour trend-following, day trading to swing trading Supervised by a professional trader, andafter 6 years of R&D,we successfullypacked all that know-howinto a program, making thisa full-fledged EA.
|
* The methods in the video differ from the current version. Shared video for MT4/MT5 Dow Theory methods.
♢Billion-class traders’1-hour trend-following tradinglogicbased on marketprinciplesand fundamentalsautomated in arare EA
1-hour trend-following involves fewer trades and is less flashy than scalping, so EAs of this type were less noticeable, but this product secures a moderate trade frequency.
If you already use scalping EAs, entries occur at different timings, providing risk diversification.
This productis a Risk-Reward (RR) profit-ratio-focused EA.
You can check the profit ratio under the“Risk/Reward Ratio” section on this page.
Because profit ratio is prioritized over win rate, the win rate is around 30–40%,with average win larger and average loss smallerby design.
By having wins larger than losses, the system naturally accumulates profit. Without fixating on high win rates, it cuts losses on a regular cycle, making sudden, unexpected massive unrealized losses (drawdowns) that dominate the total capital less likely by design.
High-win-rate scalping EAsgenerallyoffset small-win/large-loss with extremely high win rates (95%+), butthis productprioritizesprofit ratio (wins larger than losses)over win rate.
Thus, it’s less flashy than ultra-high-win-rate EAs, but since it doesn’t carry excessive unrealized losses,it avoids “small steady gains, one big loss”outcomes, focusing on stabilityby design.
♢ Anti curve-fitting (over-optimization) measures in place
We avoid excessive optimization to past data and emphasize real market conditions.
“An EA that just happens to perform well for a certain period and then suddenly fails” Such a low-quality EA is meaningless. We created this EAto be used continuously and keep generating profitswhile adapting to ever-changing real market conditions.
☆ Product Details
① Decisions are basicallyby Dow Theory, with judgment.
About the 4 Dow Theory methods
•Dow Theory +EMA20 Granville’s Rule
•Dow Theory +Pin Bar 24(Wick ratio:Body 2x, opposite wick 4x)
• Dow Theory only
• Dow Theory + 15-minute chart
♢The essence of marketsis captured by Dow Theory!
Entriesarebased on Dow Theory trend reversal judgment
There aretwo conceptsfor Dow Theory trend reversals.
Dow Theory①Trend reversal (break of swing low/swing high)
Buy: When the candlestick body breaks above the swing high (neckline) from the lowest point
Sell: When the candlestick bodybreaks below the swing low(neckline)from the highest point
Dow Theory②Trend reversal (higher highs/lows or lower highs/lows)
Buy: Higher highs and higher lows
Sell: Lower highsand lower lows
The entry points targeted by these 4 methods are:
When bothDow Theory ① andDow Theory ② trend reversals are achieved,
or
when the Dow Theory① neckline break is not achieved, butDow Theory ② trend reversal of higher highs/lows or lower highs/lowsis achieved(includingshorter timeframes)
The area during the period when these two patterns are metbecomes the basic entry point.
Automatic detection of higher-highs/lows and lower-highs/lows.
While market direction is decided by the majority of investors,we include a function that automatically determines whether investor psychology and behavior lean more to buy or sell.is included.
♢ Why Dow Theory?
Prices rise if more investors place buy orders and fall if more place sell orders.
Dow Theory is watched by a very large number of investors,so if you can read it, you can ride the market direction. Of course, the hit rate isn’t 100%, butwe attempt to increase the probability that trade direction aligns based on Dow Theory.
In daily life, “an umbrella for rainy days,” “weapons on the battlefield,” “sunscreen/parasol for UV”—optimal actions remain consistent even if they occasionally fail; you keep taking the same measures.
Similarly in FX,making Dow Theory one of the basesandbyconsistently repeating high-edge actions/stateswe aim for profitability.
②6methods forentrytiming diversification.
1. EMA20 Granville’s Rule
Buy: Moving average isrising + low touches the MA+ close is above the MA
Sell: Moving average isfalling + high touches the MA+ close is below the MA
* Moving Average = MA20Exponential Moving Average
(Exponential Moving Average)
An entry position that combines momentum and pullback.Often clears both Dow Theory ① and ②as well.
2. Dow Theory Standard
At the entry area called resistance-support flip, this standard strategy aims for “profit maximization” by automatically performing balanced entries and take-profits.
3. Dow Theory Standard - 15M Reversal
Within the 1-hour environment, add a 15-minute chart for entry judgment.
Don’t enter on 1H alone;wait for the 15M pullback before entering. The timing of the 15M Dow Theory reversalis also considered.
4. Dow Theory +Pin Bar 24
☆Body-to-wick ratio 2x☆ Wick-to-wick ratio:4x
A method combining Dow Theory with the candlestick price action of a pin bar.
Basis for trades: What is a pin bar?
Evidence that a moved price was pushed back: a candlestick price action showing strong contention between sellers and buyers, where price extended temporarily but was pushed back by strong resistance.
5. Pin Bar 35
Candlestick price action type
☆Body-to-wick ratio 3x☆ Wick-to-wick ratio:5x
Further enlarge the pin bar ratios and enter on standalone occurrence without Dow Theory.
6. Engulfing
Candlestick price action typeEnter on occurrence of an engulfing as the entry basis.
With overextension control, candles that engulf too much and overextend are excluded from entry candidates.
Trade rationale: What is an engulfing candle?
A two-candle combination where the second real body completely engulfs the first real body. Also called “hugging line” or “outside bar,” used as a sign of major trend reversals.
☆ How entries look in practice
Multiple signals trigger after a Dow Theory reversal, diversifying entries,
and entries and exits occur at different timings.
♢When a position is held, a comment shows which method triggered the entry.
Instead of vaguely running the EA,
once a position is held, one pleasure is to display indicators on the 1H chart and checkthem.
If confident, after confirming auto-entry, you can stop auto-trading and close manually at your discretion.
Automatic Risk-Reward Adjustment
The outcome is decided before the battle!
Risk-rewardis precisely calculated before entry,so profit ratios can be firmly secured.
Thismeans there’s no need to always perform the crucial pre-entry calculation of profit ratio,i.e., risk-reward.
☆ What is a risk-reward strategy?
There’s a view that a high win rate is not necessary to get maximum returns.
For example, with risk-reward of 3, a system where “wins are3 and losses are 1” would...
If you trade three times with “+3, -1, -1,” the total is +1 (wins +3, losses -2). In this case, PF is 1.5, andyou can win with a 33% win rate, mathematically.
This EAviews profit-ratio-based calculation as essential for stacking real wins, and that win rate is not something to manufacture, buta resultthatfollows.
Macro bias(environment recognition)is performed automatically
♢ What is macro bias?
By checkinghigher timeframesthan the entry timeframe, FXtradeaccuracy can be greatly improved—a basic concept.
This EA has this macro bias built in by default.
Although environment recognition is said to be essential, switching charts repeatedly to confirm is surprisingly time-consuming.
This EA greatly reduces that effort and automatically judges according to market conditions.
A system can instantly judge ranges that are almost impossible to time by discretion, so as time passes,by continually taking high-edge actions, it becomes possible to aim for profitability.
Because the macro environment recognition has no parameter setting fields and is fully automatic, there’s no deviation, oversight, or mistakes.
Also, it doesn’t enter just anywhere that meets Dow Theory;it selects only optimal environments prone to results for entry, so if conditions are judged unfavorable, itgoes into a “wait/do nothing” defensive state, enabling disciplined trading.
Variable Take-ProfitSystem Equipped
When positions clear certain conditions, theyenter a profit-trailing state.Take-profit targets vary flexibly with market conditions.
☆ What is variable take-profit?
• When judged that attainable profit is small, small TP at around 1x risk-reward.
• When profit expansion is expected, target 2x risk-reward or moreand trail for larger profits.
Thus, TP targets change flexibly.
Supports both longs and shorts
Longs and shorts areused appropriately according to market conditions, always leaning to the advantaged side.
Not based on ambiguous standards like preconceptions or hunches, butentering intensively while nimbly switching direction according to grounded edges.
Example ①Bear market Turning a crash into a big opportunity
If you only think “long buys” due to positive carry yen-weakness, history shows such a situation leads to large losses.
In the image above, a rapid drop called a rate check occurred, and the EA detected the shift from rising to falling and shorted for large profits.
Example ②Bull market Capture the rising Dow reversal and efficiently gain swaps
This EA’s basic move is to capture the rising wave after a reversal from decline to uptrend and a pullback.
Compounding feature equipped
As your balance increases from trading results, the lot size increases accordingly—this is the compounding feature.
This feature can be used as standard.
To know the actual lot size, the set lot is displayed on the chart.
☆ Settings
☆ About stop-loss
Stop-loss point
When auto-trading is enabled,stop-loss is triggered automatically.
Stop-loss serves important roles like “making profits larger than losses” and “preventing unexpected losses.”
However,
• Not sure where to place the stop-loss.
• Stop too tight causes chicken take-profits.
• After entry, price reverses and hits SL, then returns and you miss profits—frustrating.
These are common pains, but with this EA,the stop-loss is automatically placed at the most balanced level, removing the need to worry.
1. Standard stop-loss
After entry, the SL level is auto-placed prioritizing performanceand functions. It’s designed to withstand large investors’ stop hunts.
2. Trailing stop
Trails profit until time passesor price reverses.
3.Time break-even
If after entry price once moved in your favor but then returned near breakeven andtoo much time has passedfor that position, then
before the position makes a U-turn toward stop-loss and causes a big loss,we“disengage midair” witha time-based exit,tominimizedamage.
♢ Risk Management
This EA is designed to maximize performance, and because there is risk, the returns when overcome are large,as a characteristic.
However,,by nature, risk is always present,
“It’s not something like ‘anyone can do it easily’ or ‘set and forget.’
Please perform at leastrisk-appropriate managementin advance.
Point ① It may hold many positions (10 or more)at times. Point ② In a large loss scenario, the risk per position at 0.1 LOT is-20,000 yen. |
To avoid unexpected losses,
adjust lot size and max positionsto match your capitalappropriately, please.
☆ Adjust with LOT size
☆Adjust by settingmaximum number of positions
By default,entries provide diversification effects.
You can set the maximum positions to “1” to hold at most one position.
Setting to 1 simplifies and makes risk management easier.
Q. How soon do results appear?
A. In real trading, performance is generally as good as testing, but depending on the period,it may take over 3 months to see results. Conversely,we’d like you to try it for at least 3 months,if possible.
Q. How does it behave?
Average holding time is about 2 days; sometimes up to nearly 10 days.
* Based solely on averages from historical data. Not guaranteed; please understand.
Q. Can I set TP/SL separately from the EA? You can set preferred TP/SL. In EA settings on chart apply → set manual TP/SL in pips.
After entry, TP and SL lines are displayed in addition to the entry line. If you set TP 20 / SL 20, they are set upon entry as in the image below. *No “-” (minus) is needed for SL.
Also, instead of EA settings, after holding a position you can set TP/SL using standard MT5 functions on PC or smartphone. In any case they work alongside the EA. Manually setting TP/SL may yield results different from the EA’s original performance. You can later open MT5 and modify TP/SL prices..
☆ Sometimes this happens
We don’t want you to feel disappointed after purchase thinking “this isn’t what I expected,” so we intentionally share negatives.
Losses (trade losses) are unavoidable if you want to keep winning overall. With the goal of maximizing profit, losing trades will occur. That’s normal operation, and risk must be accepted.
☆ Special Notes
• This EA was developed based on Dow Theory concepts.
For actual entry timing, points are further narrowed and limited to optimize for profitability.
• Chart interpretation varies by person. Especially where to define swing lows/highs for Dow Theory may differ. Please review the pre-published trade history on the page to be satisfied and consider this product.
☆ Voices from purchasers
“I thought it was a rare EA, and with frequent version upgrades it has become remarkably more powerful.”
“Life has become more enjoyable.”
We have received such kind words.
☆ Benefits of automation
Simultaneous high-speed (instant) processing beyond human capability
•It keeps entering and closing automaticallyeven during work, chores, childcare, travel, and important events.
•No need for indicator/alert notifications
Even if you act on indicator/alert notifications, the market may have already moved and you can’t catch up,at times.
This is due to the time lag between receiving a notification and placing your order.
You may also be unable to respond when notified during late-night sleep or while busy.
This EA automatically enters and exits where indicators would notify, making it efficient, and you can just leisurely check positions in the morning.
• Trades automaticallyin late-night hours
Major overseas markets fall into late-night hours in Japan. Entering/exiting at such sleepy times is impractical. This benefit is particularly large.
• Don’t miss opportunities
No more missing timing and being late because “it already went up.”
• No need to place many limit/stop orders
Fewer mistakes compared with discretionary trading.
• Improve time efficiency.
No need to stick to the chart screen; by delegating to the system, you can focus on daily necessities.
• EAs can implement logic beyond brokers’ simple order methods.
Example: Simultaneously place a real-time stop (usually the only option) and a candlestick close-confirmation stop (needed for Dow-theory-based confirmed-candle judgment) for SL—flexible settings aligned with FX winning principles provide an overwhelmingly advantageous environmentover typical retail traders.
• Free from emotional sway
Even if you set rules, most peoplecannot adhere to them like iron.
Emotions like frustration cause you to lose control, wanting to take any position, revenge trades, andentering at non-ideal timings—humans can’t prevent this.
Therefore, maintaining composure at all timesis a key point, and automatic entries that always enforce rules solve this problem.
Thus, the system monitors beyond what discretion can cover,
andfor those interested in FXbut without time—busy with work, chores, childcare, and prone to emotional trading,”this suits you.

About Forex Automated Trading
What is Forex Automated Trading (MT4 EA)?
Forex Automated Trading refers to trading that is automated through programming, incorporating predetermined trading and settlement rules. There are various methods to conduct automated trading, but at GogoJungle, we deal with Experts Advisors (hereinafter referred to as EA) that operate on a trading platform called MT4.
Trading Types of Forex Automated Trading
There are various types of EAs (Expert Advisors) for different trading types that can be used on MT4.
Just like discretionary trading, there are those that decide trading and settlement timings by combining indicators, those that repeatedly buy or sell at certain price (pips) intervals, and trading methods that utilize market anomalies or temporal features. The variety is as rich as the methods in discretionary trading.
To categorize simply,
・Scalping (Type where trades are completed within a few minutes to a few hours),
・Day Trading (Type where trades are completed within several hours to about a day),
・Swing Trading (Type where trades are conducted over a relatively long period of about 1 day to 1 week)
・Grid/Martingale Trading (Holding multiple positions at equal or unequal intervals and settling all once a profit is made. Those that gradually increase the lot number are called Martingale.)
・Anomaly EA (Mid-price trading, early morning scalping)

Risks, Advantages, and Disadvantages of Forex Automated Trading
When engaging in Forex, there are risks in automated trading just as there are in discretionary trading.
However, a substantial advantage of automated trading is its ability to limit and predict risks beforehand.
[Risk]
Inherent to forex trading are the trading risks that undeniably exist in automated trading as well.
・Lot Size Risk
Increasing the lot size forcibly due to a high winning rate can, in rare instances, depending on the EA, lead to substantial Pips loss when a loss occurs. It is crucial to verify the SL Pips and the number of positions held before operating with an appropriate lot.
・Rapid Market Fluctuation Risk
There are instances where market prices fluctuate rapidly due to index announcements or unforeseen news. System trading does not account for such unpredictable market movements, rendering it incapable of making decisions on whether to settle in advance or abstain from trading. As a countermeasure, utilizing tools that halt the EA based on indicator announcements or the VIX (fear index) is also possible.
[Benefits]
・Operates 24 hours a day
If there is an opportunity, system trading will execute trades on your behalf consistently. It proves to be an extremely convenient tool for those unable to allocate time to trading.
・Trades dispassionately without being swayed by emotions
There is an absence of self-serving rule modifications, a common human tendency, such as increasing the lot size after consecutive losses in discretionary trading or, conversely, hastily securing profits with minimal gains.
・Accessible for beginners
To engage in Forex trading, there is no prerequisite to study; anyone using system trading will achieve the same results.
[Disadvantages]
・Cannot increase trading frequency at will
Since system trading operates based on pre-programmed conditions, depending on the type of EA, it might only execute trades a few times a month.
・Suitability may vary with market conditions
Depending on the trading type of the EA, there are periods more suited to trend trading and periods more suited to contrarian trading, making consistent results across all periods unlikely. While the previous year might have yielded good results, this year's performance might not be as promising, necessitating some level of discretion in determining whether it is an opportune time to operate.

Equipment and Environment Needed for Automated Trading Operation
The requirements for operating automated trading (EA) on MT4 are as follows:
・MT4 (MetaTrader 4. An account needs to be opened with a Forex company that offers MT4.)
・EA (A program for automated trading)
・The operating deposit required to run the EA
・A PC that can run 24 hours or a VPS (Virtual Private Server), where a virtual PC is hosted on a cloud server to run MT4.

Installation of MT4 and Account Login
If you open an account with a forex broker that supports MT4, you can use MT4 as provided by that forex broker. MT4 is a stand-alone type of software that needs to be installed on your computer, so you download the program file from the website of the FX company where you opened the account and install it on your computer.
Additionally, there are both demo and real accounts available. You can experience trading with virtual money by applying for a demo account. After opening a real account, you select the connection server assigned by the Forex broker, enter the password, and log in to the account.
When you deposit money into your account using the method specified by the forex broker, the funds will be reflected in your MT4 account, and you can trade.

About the Size of Trading Lots
In Forex trading, the size of a lot is usually:
1 lot = 100,000 currency units
0.1 lot = 10,000 currency units
0.01 lot = 1,000 currency units
For USD/JPY, 1 lot would mean holding 100,000 dollars.
The margin required to hold lots is determined by the leverage set by the Forex broker.
If the leverage is 25 times, the margin required to hold 10,000 currency units of USD/JPY would be:
10000*109 (※ at a rate of 109 yen per dollar) ÷ 25 = 43,600 yen.
