■■■[EA Summary]■■
K_Kewl_EURJPY will be an EA dedicated to 5-minute Euroyen.

In a trending market, buy on the push/return would be the royal road strategy.
In a range market, the royal road strategy would be to sell at the upper end of the range and buy at the lower end of the range. However, this EA does not deal with both trending and ranging markets. The objective is to trade in niche situations where the trend has ended and the market is shifting into a range, and to make a steady profit. The following is a list of the most common problems with the

■■ [EA Features] ■■

EA dedicated to 5-minute EURJPY ・Targeting the gap market when the trend shifts from the latter half of the trend to the range ・Day-trading type EA for contrarian trades ・Maximum number of positions: 3 ・Easy parameter setting
These features are briefly explained as follows: EA dedicated to 5-minute EURJPY

K_Kewl_EURJPY is an EA for 5-minute Euroyen only. It is not designed to operate with other currency pairs or time frames.

Aiming for a gap market when the trend shifts from the latter half of the trend to a range.

The execution time frame is the 5-minute time frame, but the environment is recognized as a large time frame at the 30-minute to 1-hour level. And, this EA aims to trade in a situation where the large time leg becomes the latter half of the trend, and furthermore, until it shifts to a range market. In other words, it is not a beautiful trend market, nor a range market where the upper and lower limits are clearly defined, but by aiming at a niche gap market, it increases entry opportunities.

Day-trading type reverse EA

Since positions are often closed within 24 hours, they belong to the day-trading type. Since we do not deal with trending markets, we do not aim for large profits, but rather settle positions steadily with a certain amount of unrealized profit or, depending on market conditions, with a certain amount of unrealized loss.
Maximum number of positions: 3

A maximum of three positions can be held at the same time. This is not intended to be a "pick-and-pin" strategy, but rather to enter a position when it matches the internal logic, and additional positions may be held regardless of whether the existing position has an unrealized gain or loss. The maximum number of positions can also be changed by setting parameters. This EA has as few parameters as possible so that even beginners can use it with ease .In other words, unnecessary parameters are made into internal variables, so there is no need for optimization work such as parameter adjustment. The minimum required parameters such as "magic number" and "number of lots" are all that is needed to use this software.

■■■バックテスト■■■

The above is a particularly important item.red lineThe following is a list of the most important factors that must be taken into account.
First, the [Spread ] is set to [20], which is appropriate for Euroyen. Please note that sometimes people intentionally set the [Spread] too narrow to make the backtest results look better. The [Net profit]isabout 1.87 times the[Initial margin], but the important thing here is the number of lots. In extreme cases, recklessly increasing the number of lots can make the [net profit]appear fraudulently large, but in this back test, the number of lots is fixed at 0.1. In other words, with a small enough number of lots, [net profit] of 1.87 times the [ initial margin] was obtained. In addition, the total number of trades is 6241 in 16 years of verification period, which means that the average number of entries is about 33 per month. And[maximum drawdown]is the most important item. The stability of the EA can be estimated to some extent by how much this item is kept under control. Although different developers may have different views on this item, if I were to develop a non-numping EA, I would keep the value to less than 250,000 yen or 25% of the 1 million yen margin. Of course, this number should be small, but in this EA, a low number of 972 (6.66%) has been achieved. Next, when we check the risk-return ratio,[net profit]÷[maximum drawdown] = 18713.51 ÷ 972.93 = 19.23 Although this is a past chart, we can expect a return of more than 19 times the risk we accept. Finally, please see the earnings graph. Since this EA is not a "pinning" type, the graph is not a straight line as if a ruler was used to draw a neat line. The graph shows a steady rise while accepting moderate drawdowns and drawing small waves.

■■■Parameters■■■■■■

[MAGIC] =193302(default) Set a value different from other EAs. [ MM_WORK] =false(Default) Turn compound interest function on/off. [ MM_Risk] =10.0 (default) Risk tolerance when compound interest is enabled. The number of lots at what percentage of the maximum leverage. [ Lots ]=0.1 (default) The number of lots for simple interest entry. [ Leverage = 25.0 (default) Maximum leverage of the brokerage firm. [ Slippage = 2 (default) Maximum slippage. If it slips more than this, no entry will be made. [ Max_spread] =3.0 (default) Maximum spread. No entry will be made if the spread exceeds this value. [ Max_STP] =120 (initial value) Maximum stop width (PIPS). The stop width will change according to the chart shape, but will never exceed the maximum value set here. [ Max_Pos] =3 (default) Maximum number of positions that can be held simultaneously. Basically, these parameters do not need to be changed, but [ MAGIC] and [Lots] should be changed according to each individual's situation. [ Max_Pos] should be capped at a maximum of 3. If you want to reduce risk, change it to 1 or 2. Or, you may leave [Max_Pos] at 3 and reduce [Lots]. *About Compound Interest If [MM_Work] is false, the entry will be made with the number of lots in [Lots]. If [ MM_Work ] is true, the number of lots is calculated from the amount of surplus margin, [MM_Risk], and [Leverage]. Specifically, the number of lots = Leverage*Minimum Margin/100000/price in the account currency*(Risk Tolerance/100). For example, if leverage = 25 (initial value), risk tolerance = 10.0% (initial value), margin = 500,000 yen, EURJPY price = 150 yen, and yen account, 25*500000/100000/150*(10/100) = 0.08 lots will be used for entry. However, if you want to manage your money with a margin of 200,000 yen, 0.1 lot per 100,000 yen is the basic rule.

■■■ Entry Status■■■■ Entry Status

For your reference, I will post some charts to show you when to enter and close the market. The blue line shows long entry and close, and the red line shows short entry and close (the vertical white line is the New York close, and the time in between is one day). (The vertical white line is the New York close, and the time in between is one day.)

Sample 1

The clear uptrend at the 30-minute level has ended, and the market has been lingering since then.

Sample 2

The volatile downtrend has ended and the price movement is gradually decreasing. Sample 3

When the market is box-like, there are cases where a position can be reversed by a breakout like this. Positions are closed when they match the internal closing logic, when they reach the first stop set, or when they close a previous position in the event of a turnaround. In most cases, positions are closed within 24 hours of being held, or at least the next day. However, in rare cases, a position may remain open for more than three days when there is no directional movement at all.

■■ Frequently Asked Questions ■Q1: Can I operate with any broker? A1:You can use any FX company as long as they use GMT+2 (GMT+3 in summer time) MT4. Q2:Is there a weekend position carry-over? A2: There is no weekend settlement function, so if you take a position at the close of the day, it may be carried over to the following week. Q3: Is it necessary to set summer or winter time? A3: No, it is not necessary. Q4: Can one MT4 be used to run other EAs at the same time? A4: It is possible to operate simultaneously. However, if this EA and another EA both have unrealized losses while the margin is low, there is a possibility that they will be forced to close below the margin maintenance ratio. Also, please set the magic number different from other EAs. Q5: Can I close positions manually? A5: Yes, you can. However, if you have multiple positions and close only some of them, there is no denying the possibility that the positions will not move properly afterwards. Q6: Do you trade both positions? A6: No, we do not. When you want to enter a reverse position, you need to close all the positions you are currently holding together before entering a reverse position. Q7: Why doesn't the EA enter the market easily? A8: First of all, please check this page https://www.gogojungle.co.jp/post/1/581 which provides "Items to check when the EA is not working". Also, this EA uses a process that refers to candlesticks up to 5,000 candlesticks ago, so please set the value in [Maximum number of bars in chart] in MT4 to at least 5,000 or more. Please wait and see how it goes for about 2 weeks. Q8: How often should I enter the market? A8: According to the back test and real trades, the average number of entries is about 33 per month.

However, this EA has confirmed that the expected value falls during slow-moving, low-volatility markets, and it does not enter during such conditions. Specifically, it is designed not to enter low volatility markets where the average daily price range is less than 60 PIPS.

About Forex Automated Trading
Forex Automated Trading refers to trading that is automated through programming, incorporating predetermined trading and settlement rules. There are various methods to conduct automated trading, but at GogoJungle, we deal with Experts Advisors (hereinafter referred to as EA) that operate on a trading platform called MT4.
There are various types of EAs (Expert Advisors) for different trading types that can be used on MT4.
Just like discretionary trading, there are those that decide trading and settlement timings by combining indicators, those that repeatedly buy or sell at certain price (pips) intervals, and trading methods that utilize market anomalies or temporal features. The variety is as rich as the methods in discretionary trading.

To categorize simply,
・Scalping (Type where trades are completed within a few minutes to a few hours),
・Day Trading (Type where trades are completed within several hours to about a day),
・Swing Trading (Type where trades are conducted over a relatively long period of about 1 day to 1 week)
・Grid/Martingale Trading (Holding multiple positions at equal or unequal intervals and settling all once a profit is made. Those that gradually increase the lot number are called Martingale.)
・Anomaly EA (Mid-price trading, early morning scalping)

When engaging in Forex, there are risks in automated trading just as there are in discretionary trading.
However, a substantial advantage of automated trading is its ability to limit and predict risks beforehand.

[Risk]
Inherent to forex trading are the trading risks that undeniably exist in automated trading as well.
・Lot Size Risk
Increasing the lot size forcibly due to a high winning rate can, in rare instances, depending on the EA, lead to substantial Pips loss when a loss occurs. It is crucial to verify the SL Pips and the number of positions held before operating with an appropriate lot.

・Rapid Market Fluctuation Risk
There are instances where market prices fluctuate rapidly due to index announcements or unforeseen news. System trading does not account for such unpredictable market movements, rendering it incapable of making decisions on whether to settle in advance or abstain from trading. As a countermeasure, utilizing tools that halt the EA based on indicator announcements or the VIX (fear index) is also possible.

[Benefits]
・Operates 24 hours a day
If there is an opportunity, system trading will execute trades on your behalf consistently. It proves to be an extremely convenient tool for those unable to allocate time to trading.

・Trades dispassionately without being swayed by emotions
There is an absence of self-serving rule modifications, a common human tendency, such as increasing the lot size after consecutive losses in discretionary trading or, conversely, hastily securing profits with minimal gains.

・Accessible for beginners
To engage in Forex trading, there is no prerequisite to study; anyone using system trading will achieve the same results.

[Disadvantages]
・Cannot increase trading frequency at will
Since system trading operates based on pre-programmed conditions, depending on the type of EA, it might only execute trades a few times a month.

・Suitability may vary with market conditions
Depending on the trading type of the EA, there are periods more suited to trend trading and periods more suited to contrarian trading, making consistent results across all periods unlikely. While the previous year might have yielded good results, this year's performance might not be as promising, necessitating some level of discretion in determining whether it is an opportune time to operate.
The requirements for operating automated trading (EA) on MT4 are as follows:
・MT4 (MetaTrader 4. An account needs to be opened with a Forex company that offers MT4.)
・EA (A program for automated trading)
・The operating deposit required to run the EA
・A PC that can run 24 hours or a VPS (Virtual Private Server), where a virtual PC is hosted on a cloud server to run MT4.
If you open an account with a forex broker that supports MT4, you can use MT4 as provided by that forex broker. MT4 is a stand-alone type of software that needs to be installed on your computer, so you download the program file from the website of the FX company where you opened the account and install it on your computer.

Additionally, there are both demo and real accounts available. You can experience trading with virtual money by applying for a demo account. After opening a real account, you select the connection server assigned by the Forex broker, enter the password, and log in to the account.
When you deposit money into your account using the method specified by the forex broker, the funds will be reflected in your MT4 account, and you can trade.
To set up an EA when you purchase it through GogoJungle, follow the steps below:
Firstly, download the purchased EA file from your My Page on GogoJungle. You will download a zip (compressed) file, so right-click to extract it and retrieve the file named ‘◯◯◯ (EA name)_A19GAw09 (any 8 alphanumeric characters).ex4’ from inside.

Next, launch MT4 and navigate to ‘File’ → ‘Open Data Folder’ → ‘MQL4’ → ‘Experts’ folder, and place the ex4 file inside. Once done, close MT4 and restart it. Then, go to the upper menu ‘Tools’ → ‘Options’, and under ‘Expert Advisors’, ensure ‘Allow automated trading’ and ‘Allow DLL imports’ are checked, then press OK to close.

The necessary currency pair and time frame for the correct operation of the EA are specified on the EA sales page. Refer to this information and open the chart of the correct currency pair time frame (e.g., USDJPY5M for a USD/Yen 5-minute chart).

Within the menu navigator, under ‘Expert Advisors’, you will find the EA file name you placed earlier. Click to select it, then drag & drop it directly onto the chart to load the EA. Alternatively, you can double-click the EA name to load it onto the selected chart.

If ‘Authentication Success’ appears in the upper left of the chart, the authentication has been successful. To operate the EA, you need to keep your PC running 24 hours. Therefore, either disable the automatic sleep function or host MT4 on a VPS and operate the EA.
EAs from GogoJungle can be used with one real account and one demo account per EA.
If you want to use it with an account other than the authenticated one, you need to reset the registered account.

To reset the account, close the MT4 where the Web authentication is registered, then go to My Page on GogoJungle > Use > Digital Contents > the relevant EA > press the ‘Reset’ button for the registration number, and the registered account will be released.

When the account is in a reset state, using the EA with another MT4 account will register a new account.
Also, you can reset the account an unlimited number of times.
If you encounter an error with Web authentication, or if the EA is trading on GogoJungle's forward performance page but not on your own account, there could be various reasons. For more details, please refer to the following link:
→ Items to Check When EA is Not Operating
In Forex trading, the size of a lot is usually:

1 lot = 100,000 currency units
0.1 lot = 10,000 currency units
0.01 lot = 1,000 currency units

For USD/JPY, 1 lot would mean holding 100,000 dollars.
The margin required to hold lots is determined by the leverage set by the Forex broker.
If the leverage is 25 times, the margin required to hold 10,000 currency units of USD/JPY would be:
10000*109 (※ at a rate of 109 yen per dollar) ÷ 25 = 43,600 yen.
・Profit Factor: Total Profit ÷ Total Loss
・Risk-Return Ratio: Total Profit and Loss during the period ÷ Maximum Drawdown
・Maximum Drawdown: The largest unrealized loss during the operation period
・Maximum Position Number: This is the maximum number of positions that the EA can theoretically hold at the same time
・TP (Take Profit): The set profit-taking Pips (or specified amount, etc.) in the EA's settings
・SL (Stop Loss): The set maximum loss pips (or specified amount, etc.) in the EA's settings
・Trailing Stop: Instead of settling at a specified Pips, once a certain profit is made, the settlement SL is raised at a certain interval (towards the profit), maximizing the profit. It is a method of settlement.
・Risk-Reward Ratio (Payoff Ratio): Average Profit ÷ Average Loss
・Hedging: Holding both buy and sell positions simultaneously (Some FX companies also have types where hedging is not allowed)
