One of the features of the three-line RCI (RCI9, RCI26, RCI52) is
“When all three RCIs point in the same direction, the price movement in that direction tends to be larger.”
There is such a tendency.
When RCI26 and RCI52 are rising (falling) and RCI9 is falling (rising),
if RCI9 reverses,“All three RCIs point in the same direction”is said to occur.
Therefore, detecting when RCI9 will reverse is extremely important.
(Case by case, but simply waiting for the reversal of RCI9 to confirm can often lead to 大きく
being late.)
To detect as early as possible the moment when the upward (downward) momentum of RCI9 weakens,
BODSOR was developed.
The figure below shows the Nikkei 225 futures hourly chart for about three days up to April 6.

Looking at the above chart, last Friday (April 6), the “RCI Three-Line + BODSOR”
rebound selling signal (yellow arrow) is lit.
Among the three RCIs, only RCI9 is clearly rising.
If RCI9 reverses downward, all three RCIs may align to fall.
In other words, the price could undergo a strong decline.
In such a situation,BODSOR signals light up (yellow arrows).
Right after the BODSOR signal lights up, bearish candles form.
