Astonishing U.S. stock PER level
Hello, I am Nikkei OP Uncle, the administrator.
Thank you very much for visiting this blog.
I would like to provide information that is helpful to everyone, so please support me.
Now, the theme this time isPER of U.S. stocks.
WSJ as of January 5th shows the following PER and projected PER for U.S. stocks.
<PER> Current 1 year later
Dow Jones Industrial Average 30 22.28x 20.04x
S&P 500 22.09x 19.25x
<Dividend yield> Current
Dow Jones 30 2.07%
S&P 500 1.86%
<Bonds>
10-year bond 2.476%
02-year bond 1.964%

PER is in quite a high state, isn’t it?
Also, in terms of dividend yield, it is at roughly the same level as the 2-year bond.
From the perspective of risk and return, bonds are becoming more attractive.
If you do not expect stock prices to rise, the 2-year bond has far lower risk.
On the right side of FC2 Blog, there is a link named “Major U.S. stock indices PER.” Please visit that as well.
