2. Basic use with “one line” of RCI

First, display a single short-term line (parameter: 9, etc.) as the basic view. RCI focuses on the upper and lower zones of “overbought/oversold.”

+80% or higher:Overbought zone
(Momentum is near the limit; beware of a reversal)
-80% or lower:Oversold zone
(Downward momentum is near the limit; beware of a reversal)

3. Practical use with “two lines” of RCI (recommended for beginners!)

Using only one line can lead to more false signals,the common, professional approach is to combine a short-term line and a long-term line.

Check trend direction with the long-term line (e.g., 26)
If the long-term line is rising, it’s an uptrend; if it’s falling, it’s a downtrend.
Timing entries with the short-term line (e.g., 9)
When the long-term line is rising, the best is when the short-term line dips and then reemerges near the “-80%” zone. Buy-the-dip point.
