About EA's Strategy
Translating...
As one of your own portfolios, how about this?
HODL-only wins! EURUSD is an MT4-only EA designed to steadily accumulate fixed lot size on EURUSD.
It is not a explosive-growth type; it is a balanced design focused on ease of ongoing operation and ease of use.
It adds entries according to internal conditions, manages the overall on an average entry price base, and closes positions while watching the balance of the entire portfolio.
Rather than a strong expansion like Gold-type EAs, it is an EA that slowly builds up in EURUSD’s relatively calm price moves.
■ Features of this EA
・EURUSD-special MT4 EA
・Balanced design assuming fixed lot
・Additional entries according to internal conditions
・Manage positions as a whole based on average entry price
・Prioritizes continuity and ease of use over explosive power
・Recommended timeframe is M5
・Under normal operation, a maximum of 7 positions is recommended
■ Backtest (2 years, 10,000 USD)
To make the basic nature of this product easy to understand, we present a 2-year backtest with an initial margin of 10,000 USD.
With tick-by-tick, 99.90% quality verification, it has stayed on a rising trajectory with relatively low drawdown.
This is not an overly aggressive design; it is the main test to give you a stable operation image.
■ Design Philosophy
This EA is not a martingale that doubles lots to recover quickly.
While assuming fixed lots, it adds entries according to market conditions and manages the whole with average entry price base.
Therefore, it is not a type that rapidly increases in a short time, but if you avoid extreme settings, it is relatively easy to handle and has a calm character as a currency-pair EA.
■ Logic
The logic is simple.
It picks up pullbacks or retracements of EURUSD and does basket closures based on the average entry price.
Closings are not variable; it is a fixed type that manages distance from average entry price in pips (with trailing).
Therefore, from the user’s perspective, it is quite easy to understand, and
it is easy to grasp “where the average entry price is now and where you must go to take profit.”

Additionally, on the chart, there are
Average entry price line
Take-profit line
ALLCLEAR button
displayed,
so even those who want to apply a bit of discretion can use it easily.
Also, with additional entries, it does not indiscriminately pile up positions; when buying, it does not add above the average entry price; when selling, it does not add below the average entry price.
This reduces the chances of adding in a bad position near profit.
Unnecessary items are kept out of the table, with fine details fixed by internal logic.
Designed to be approachable even for beginners.
■ Input Items

To keep it as easy to use as possible, items are limited to the minimum necessary.
Because the finer logic is fixed internally, it is easy for beginners to adjust.
Magic Number
An identifier for each EA.
Used when running multiple EAs on the same account or running the same EA with different settings. It is generally fine as is, but if using with other EAs, please change it to a non-conflicting number.
Lot
The lot size used per entry.
The higher, the larger the profit, but the corresponding drawdown and potential losses also increase.
First, it is recommended to operate starting from0.01.
Maximum Positions
The maximum number of positions this EA can hold.
Increasing the number makes it easier to catch deeper reversals, but also increases the number of positions held.
Under standard operation, we recommend7.
If you are more cautious, around 5; even for aggressive settings, 10+ is for advanced users.
Start Time / End Time
The time window during which the EA can open new entries.
If you set 0–2359 it operates around the clock.
Adjust if you want it to run only in a specific time window.
Allowed Spread_pips
Setting to avoid entries when spread is too wide.
Normally, keep as is.
For accounts with wider spreads, you may loosen a bit.
Take Profit Target_pips
Roughly how many pips to target for taking profits from the average entry price.
This EA closes all positions based on the average entry price when multiple positions are held, so this value becomes the take-profit criterion.
In this test,5.0performed quite well.
Trailing Stop Enabled
Whether to extend profits after profits have risen to chase further gains.
true means trailing stop, false means fixed take profit.
Even if trailing stop is disabled, take profit is still executed as usual.
Trailing Start_pips
How many pips of profit must be reached before the trailing stop starts.
Usually the same value as the take-profit target in pips.
Trailing Capture Rate
What portion of profit to leave when winding down after trailing starts.
Higher means securing profits earlier; lower means staying longer in the trade.
Generallyaround 0.6is easy to handle.
Trailing Minimum Capture_pips
The minimum profit width to secure during trailing.
This prevents early closure during pullbacks.
Quality Entry Interval_pips
The threshold interval for adding a second position.
This EA can automatically widen the averaging width, and this value is the base width for that.
Smaller makes additions earlier; larger makes cautious additions.
Use Additional Width Expansion
true will widen the addition interval as the number of steps increases.
This helps prevent rushing to add later positions.
In this EA,true is recommended.
Addition Width Expansion Multiplier
Setting for how much to widen the addition interval.
1.0 means fixed; around 1.1–1.35 allows more cautious later positions.
The default vicinity is a very balanced setting.
Addition Interval Upper Bound_pips
Upper limit to prevent addition width from getting too wide.
Set to 0 for no limit.
By entering a value, you can prevent the EA from waiting too long.
New Entry Stop_JPY
When the overall account profit/loss deteriorates beyond a fixed amount, stop new entries; 0 disables.
0 disables.
Usually operate at 0 and use as a safety device as needed.
Close All_JPY
When overall account P/L deteriorates beyond a fixed amount, close all positions; 0 disables.
0 disables.
A very strong safety device, so normally leaving it at 0 is fine.
Currency Stop Loss_JPY
For each currency pair, stop loss when a certain loss amount is reached.
0 disables.
Also a protective option you may use as needed.
■ Settings
Basically, first consider
Lot
Maximum Position
Take Profit Target_pips
Focusing on these three is recommended.
What is particularly important isMaximum Position and the concept of added width,
as this EA gains easier take-profit on average-entry price as positions increase,
but pushing too hard can also extend holding time.
Therefore, by default we set
Maximum positions around 7 with add-width expansion
.
■ Recommended Environment
・Platform: MetaTrader4
・Recommended Currency Pair: EURUSD
・Recommended Timeframe: M5
・Recommended Maximum Positions: 7
・Fixed lot assumption
・We recommend starting with default or recommended settings
■ Reference Verification (1,000 USD)
As a reference, we also present a 2-year verification under the same conditions with an initial margin of 1,000 USD.
The drawdown ratio is larger, but it does not fail and completes under small capital conditions, illustrating the EA’s resilience.
However, in actual operation, considering drawdown, we recommend operating with adequate margin.
The following shows results after changing the maximum position count over one year.

■ Who this EA is suitable for
・Those who value ongoing operation over explosiveness
・Those looking for a relatively easy-to-use EA with fixed lots
・Those who want a currency-pair EA that is different from Gold-style EAs
・Those who want to accumulate patiently with EURUSD
“HODL-only wins!”is
one of the most balanced options among takoyakiEA.
Rather than flashy power,
easy to understand
easy to handle
calm currency pair
straightforward test results
are its strengths.
Unlike Gold-style explosive power,
this FX currency EA has the appeal of steady accumulation,
and has turned out to be quite an interesting finish.
First, try it within a risk-free range.
■ Cautions
・Backtests and actual operations may yield different results due to spreads, slippage, and execution
・Holding time may become longer depending on market conditions
・Because it is designed to add entries, operate with ample margin
・High-lot operation or excessive setting changes may lead to results different from the intended design
・Final operational decisions are up to you

Just like discretionary trading, there are those that decide trading and settlement timings by combining indicators, those that repeatedly buy or sell at certain price (pips) intervals, and trading methods that utilize market anomalies or temporal features. The variety is as rich as the methods in discretionary trading.
To categorize simply,
・Scalping (Type where trades are completed within a few minutes to a few hours),
・Day Trading (Type where trades are completed within several hours to about a day),
・Swing Trading (Type where trades are conducted over a relatively long period of about 1 day to 1 week)
・Grid/Martingale Trading (Holding multiple positions at equal or unequal intervals and settling all once a profit is made. Those that gradually increase the lot number are called Martingale.)
・Anomaly EA (Mid-price trading, early morning scalping)
However, a substantial advantage of automated trading is its ability to limit and predict risks beforehand.
[Risk]
Inherent to forex trading are the trading risks that undeniably exist in automated trading as well.
・Lot Size Risk
Increasing the lot size forcibly due to a high winning rate can, in rare instances, depending on the EA, lead to substantial Pips loss when a loss occurs. It is crucial to verify the SL Pips and the number of positions held before operating with an appropriate lot.
・Rapid Market Fluctuation Risk
There are instances where market prices fluctuate rapidly due to index announcements or unforeseen news. System trading does not account for such unpredictable market movements, rendering it incapable of making decisions on whether to settle in advance or abstain from trading. As a countermeasure, utilizing tools that halt the EA based on indicator announcements or the VIX (fear index) is also possible.
[Benefits]
・Operates 24 hours a day
If there is an opportunity, system trading will execute trades on your behalf consistently. It proves to be an extremely convenient tool for those unable to allocate time to trading.
・Trades dispassionately without being swayed by emotions
There is an absence of self-serving rule modifications, a common human tendency, such as increasing the lot size after consecutive losses in discretionary trading or, conversely, hastily securing profits with minimal gains.
・Accessible for beginners
To engage in Forex trading, there is no prerequisite to study; anyone using system trading will achieve the same results.
[Disadvantages]
・Cannot increase trading frequency at will
Since system trading operates based on pre-programmed conditions, depending on the type of EA, it might only execute trades a few times a month.
・Suitability may vary with market conditions
Depending on the trading type of the EA, there are periods more suited to trend trading and periods more suited to contrarian trading, making consistent results across all periods unlikely. While the previous year might have yielded good results, this year's performance might not be as promising, necessitating some level of discretion in determining whether it is an opportune time to operate.
・MT4 (MetaTrader 4. An account needs to be opened with a Forex company that offers MT4.)
・EA (A program for automated trading)
・The operating deposit required to run the EA
・A PC that can run 24 hours or a VPS (Virtual Private Server), where a virtual PC is hosted on a cloud server to run MT4.
Additionally, there are both demo and real accounts available. You can experience trading with virtual money by applying for a demo account. After opening a real account, you select the connection server assigned by the Forex broker, enter the password, and log in to the account.
When you deposit money into your account using the method specified by the forex broker, the funds will be reflected in your MT4 account, and you can trade.
Firstly, download the purchased EA file from your My Page on GogoJungle. You will download a zip (compressed) file, so right-click to extract it and retrieve the file named ‘◯◯◯ (EA name)_A19GAw09 (any 8 alphanumeric characters).ex4’ from inside.
Next, launch MT4 and navigate to ‘File’ → ‘Open Data Folder’ → ‘MQL4’ → ‘Experts’ folder, and place the ex4 file inside. Once done, close MT4 and restart it. Then, go to the upper menu ‘Tools’ → ‘Options’, and under ‘Expert Advisors’, ensure ‘Allow automated trading’ and ‘Allow DLL imports’ are checked, then press OK to close.
The necessary currency pair and time frame for the correct operation of the EA are specified on the EA sales page. Refer to this information and open the chart of the correct currency pair time frame (e.g., USDJPY5M for a USD/Yen 5-minute chart).
Within the menu navigator, under ‘Expert Advisors’, you will find the EA file name you placed earlier. Click to select it, then drag & drop it directly onto the chart to load the EA. Alternatively, you can double-click the EA name to load it onto the selected chart.
If ‘Authentication Success’ appears in the upper left of the chart, the authentication has been successful. To operate the EA, you need to keep your PC running 24 hours. Therefore, either disable the automatic sleep function or host MT4 on a VPS and operate the EA.
If you want to use it with an account other than the authenticated one, you need to reset the registered account.
To reset the account, close the MT4 where the Web authentication is registered, then go to My Page on GogoJungle > Use > Digital Contents > the relevant EA > press the ‘Reset’ button for the registration number, and the registered account will be released.
When the account is in a reset state, using the EA with another MT4 account will register a new account.
Also, you can reset the account an unlimited number of times.
→ Items to Check When EA is Not Operating
1 lot = 100,000 currency units
0.1 lot = 10,000 currency units
0.01 lot = 1,000 currency units
For USD/JPY, 1 lot would mean holding 100,000 dollars.
The margin required to hold lots is determined by the leverage set by the Forex broker.
If the leverage is 25 times, the margin required to hold 10,000 currency units of USD/JPY would be:
10000*109 (※ at a rate of 109 yen per dollar) ÷ 25 = 43,600 yen.
・Risk-Return Ratio: Total Profit and Loss during the period ÷ Maximum Drawdown
・Maximum Drawdown: The largest unrealized loss during the operation period
・Maximum Position Number: This is the maximum number of positions that the EA can theoretically hold at the same time
・TP (Take Profit): The set profit-taking Pips (or specified amount, etc.) in the EA's settings
・SL (Stop Loss): The set maximum loss pips (or specified amount, etc.) in the EA's settings
・Trailing Stop: Instead of settling at a specified Pips, once a certain profit is made, the settlement SL is raised at a certain interval (towards the profit), maximizing the profit. It is a method of settlement.
・Risk-Reward Ratio (Payoff Ratio): Average Profit ÷ Average Loss
・Hedging: Holding both buy and sell positions simultaneously (Some FX companies also have types where hedging is not allowed)
