An automated trading system that is not swayed by emotions.
Trading strategy based on the Big Cycle MACD
This is an automated trading system that utilizes the “Big Cycle MACD.” This system is designed to elevate your trading to the next level. Please take a look at the following features!
Introduction: It will change your trading life.
Do you feel the limits of discretionary trading?
Emotional judgments prevent profit-taking and expand losses. In busy daily life, you miss optimal entry and exit timings.
The “Daijunkan USDJPY Version” was developed to solve these challenges
with the core technical analysis of “Big Cycle MACD.”
This system raises your trading to the next level
around-the-clock, 365 days, steadily pursuing profits.
Three overwhelming strengths of this EA 1. Precise trend judgment with the unique “Big Cycle MACD”
The biggest strength of this EA is the “Big Cycle MACD” logic that accurately captures market trends.
- Capture early trend movements: The market determines clear trend change points such as “Stable Uptrend” “Uptrend Start” “Stable Downtrend” “Downtrend Start,” and executes market orders at optimal timings. Responds quickly to trend changes. Pursuit of small losses and large profits: While holding a position, determine trend continuation to maximize profits. Simultaneously, based on the current position, decide exits at appropriate timings to achieve a balanced approach that limits losses. USD/JPY focus By restricting to the most liquid currency pair in the world, maximize the logic’s advantage.

2. “Auto lot adjustment” to accelerate compounding
The EA automatically performs essential risk management to efficiently grow your assets.
Function Details Benefits
Maintenance margin management: Automatically calculates lot size referencing the set maintenance margin (e.g., 200%).
When funds are low, limits risk; when profits accumulate, automatically increases lots to maximize compounding effects.
Maximum lot setting: The maximum number of lots per order can be fixed.
Prevents unintended excessive lot trading and controls risk.
Order quantity limits: You can specify the maximum number of open positions. Enables flexible position management according to funds.
3. Thorough “risk-avoidance features” for safe operation
Equipped with abundant settings to protect your assets from unexpected losses. Weekend settlement feature: On Friday night, positions are automatically settled to avoid weekend gaps. No early-morning trading: Stops new entries during late night/early morning when spreads tend to widen, reducing unnecessary costs. Year-end/New Year trading halt: Automatically stops trading during low-liquidity year-end periods to protect assets from unstable markets. Account balance-based stop loss: Stop loss can be set as a percentage of account balance (e.g., buy stop loss 7%, sell stop loss 2%). Rigorous risk management adjusted to capital.
4. Trading with advanced logic
- Trend judgment: For “Stable Uptrend” and “Uptrend Start,” execute market buy; for “Stable Downtrend” and “Downtrend Start,” execute market sell to respond quickly to trend changes.
- Position management: Based on current positions, determine exit timing to maximize profits and minimize losses.
- Use of Magic Number: Setting the magic number to 0 allows positions opened manually to be included. This enables seamless integration of manual and automated trades.
Backtesting recommended
Whether a backtest EA will continue to be usable is uncertain, but a bad backtest EA is unusable, so parameters with good backtest performance are set as standard.
Therefore, it is generally recommended to use the standard parameters and observe.
Subsequently, if possible, we hope you will configure parameters tailored to you.
In that case, please run your own backtest for at least six months to one year and use the results to set parameters appropriate to the current market.
Explanation for those more interested
Long-term backtest results since 2012
The following yields the best performance.
In reality, it would be impossible to achieve 49 billion in profit. It seems like an implausible figure, but it is achieved by repeatedly trading with a maintenance margin of 200%.
For example, starting with 1 million and operating this EA with a 200% maintenance margin, achieving a 10% profit per trade is easy (for a 1 lot trade, a 1-yen move yields 10,000).
If you do this 10 times, you will have 2,000,000. With 2,000,000 balance, the maintenance margin at 200% would allow trading 200,000 lots.
If you repeat this 10 times, the account balance goes from 2,000,000 to 4,000,000.
Continuing this sequence accelerates profits to 4,000,000 → 8,000,000 → 16,000,000, and so on.
Of course, losses would also be larger.
The above uses the initial parameters, but various functions can be controlled by trading style.
1. For those who do not want positions to be opened in late night/early morning
Because spreads widen during late night/early morning, you may want to prohibit positions with the following parameter.
True: ban early morning trading
Setting this value to True will stop orders during late night/early morning.
2. For those who do not want to hold positions over the weekend
If there is a major event/release on the weekend, a gap may occur on Monday morning, causing unexpected losses, so please prohibit weekend holding with the following parameter. Orders will be settled on Friday night.
True: weekend settlement
Setting this to True will stop orders during late night/early morning.
Note: Default is False, so weekend positions are held.
3. For those who do not want positions during year-end/new year
Low liquidity during year-end/new year, so prohibit with the following parameter.
True: stop trading at year-end/new year
Setting this to True stops orders during year-end/new year.
Note: Default is False, so orders are executed during year-end/new year.
4. For those who want only buy orders or only sell orders
Buy orders enabled
Sell orders enabled
5. For those who want manual orders to be included in profit target and stop loss calculations
- If the EA is indicating an upward trendSell positions will be closed immediately.
- If the EA is indicating a downward trendBuy positions will be closed immediately.
- If the EA is trendlessBoth buy and sell positions will be closed immediately.
MAGIC NUMBER
6. To fix the maximum lot at order time
To fix the maximum lot at order time, change the lot size as follows.
Maximum lot
For example, setting to 0.1 fixes the lot size at order time.
Note: Even when fixed, multiple orders may be placed up to the specified maintenance margin; if you want to stop orders above the specified maximum lot, consider also changing the following parameter (order count).
By changing the following parameters, you can prevent orders even if the maintenance margin is not reached.
Maximum buy/sell positions 9999
For example, setting to 1 makes the number of orders 1.
Note: The default is 1. I set it to 1 because on the sales page forward test, if the number of orders is too high, measurement cannot be correct for some reason. Please consider setting to 9999 in actual operation.
8. To change maintenance margin
If you want to operate more safely, set the maintenance margin to 500, for example, to control the number of orders and order lots.
Maintenance margin for orders 200
Compared to setting 6 and 7, I personally think controlling orders by maintenance margin is better.
Note that positions may slightly exceed the specified maintenance margin, so proceed with caution.
9. You can specify stop loss as a percent of account balance
Stop loss based on account balance can be set.
Initial values are
Buy stop loss rate 7%, so if balance is 100,000, stop loss is 7,000.
Sell stop loss rate 2%, so if balance is 100,000, stop loss is 2,000.
Note: The dollar/yen has poorer performance for selling orders, so stop loss rate is set lower.
Buy stop loss (account balance %) 7
Sell stop loss (account balance %) 2
10. You can set profit-taking/stop-loss in pips.
This is calculated based on the average value of the position.
Not in monetary terms, but in pips.
※Profit-taking/stop-loss cannot be set in monetary terms.
Stop profit (all) 1500
Stop loss (all) 400
11. You can set the conditions for exit with the trailing function.
This EA has a trailing feature, and you can set the trailing rate for settlements. For example, the initial value 90 means it will settle when the maximum profit decreases to 90% or less.
If you want to stop the trailing feature, set this value to 100.
Trailing exit rate 90
12. Settings for Big Cycle parameters
It is recommended to operate with initial values for Big Cycle parameters.
Parameter settings are peculiar, so please check the following when configuring.
There are three parameters, but the settings are
Short-term is ①
Mid-term is ①+②
Long-term is ①+②+③
Thus. The initial values are 8 (①), 15 (①+②), 30 (①+②+③).
This is to maintain the relationship ① ≦ ② ≦ ③ when conducting backtests. (Sorry for the complexity, but this setting makes backtesting easier, please understand)
① Big Cycle MACD short-term 8
② Big Cycle MACD mid-term 7
③ Big Cycle MACD long-term 15
13. Settings for the big cycle target candles
Big Cycle parameter settings are recommended to run with initial values.
For USD/JPY, the following settings give the best performance.
Buy Timeframe PERIOD_M30
Sell Timeframe PERIOD_H4
If selling is dominant, try setting to 30 candles or 1-hour chart.

Just like discretionary trading, there are those that decide trading and settlement timings by combining indicators, those that repeatedly buy or sell at certain price (pips) intervals, and trading methods that utilize market anomalies or temporal features. The variety is as rich as the methods in discretionary trading.
To categorize simply,
・Scalping (Type where trades are completed within a few minutes to a few hours),
・Day Trading (Type where trades are completed within several hours to about a day),
・Swing Trading (Type where trades are conducted over a relatively long period of about 1 day to 1 week)
・Grid/Martingale Trading (Holding multiple positions at equal or unequal intervals and settling all once a profit is made. Those that gradually increase the lot number are called Martingale.)
・Anomaly EA (Mid-price trading, early morning scalping)
However, a substantial advantage of automated trading is its ability to limit and predict risks beforehand.
[Risk]
Inherent to forex trading are the trading risks that undeniably exist in automated trading as well.
・Lot Size Risk
Increasing the lot size forcibly due to a high winning rate can, in rare instances, depending on the EA, lead to substantial Pips loss when a loss occurs. It is crucial to verify the SL Pips and the number of positions held before operating with an appropriate lot.
・Rapid Market Fluctuation Risk
There are instances where market prices fluctuate rapidly due to index announcements or unforeseen news. System trading does not account for such unpredictable market movements, rendering it incapable of making decisions on whether to settle in advance or abstain from trading. As a countermeasure, utilizing tools that halt the EA based on indicator announcements or the VIX (fear index) is also possible.
[Benefits]
・Operates 24 hours a day
If there is an opportunity, system trading will execute trades on your behalf consistently. It proves to be an extremely convenient tool for those unable to allocate time to trading.
・Trades dispassionately without being swayed by emotions
There is an absence of self-serving rule modifications, a common human tendency, such as increasing the lot size after consecutive losses in discretionary trading or, conversely, hastily securing profits with minimal gains.
・Accessible for beginners
To engage in Forex trading, there is no prerequisite to study; anyone using system trading will achieve the same results.
[Disadvantages]
・Cannot increase trading frequency at will
Since system trading operates based on pre-programmed conditions, depending on the type of EA, it might only execute trades a few times a month.
・Suitability may vary with market conditions
Depending on the trading type of the EA, there are periods more suited to trend trading and periods more suited to contrarian trading, making consistent results across all periods unlikely. While the previous year might have yielded good results, this year's performance might not be as promising, necessitating some level of discretion in determining whether it is an opportune time to operate.
・MT4 (MetaTrader 4. An account needs to be opened with a Forex company that offers MT4.)
・EA (A program for automated trading)
・The operating deposit required to run the EA
・A PC that can run 24 hours or a VPS (Virtual Private Server), where a virtual PC is hosted on a cloud server to run MT4.
Additionally, there are both demo and real accounts available. You can experience trading with virtual money by applying for a demo account. After opening a real account, you select the connection server assigned by the Forex broker, enter the password, and log in to the account.
When you deposit money into your account using the method specified by the forex broker, the funds will be reflected in your MT4 account, and you can trade.
Firstly, download the purchased EA file from your My Page on GogoJungle. You will download a zip (compressed) file, so right-click to extract it and retrieve the file named ‘◯◯◯ (EA name)_A19GAw09 (any 8 alphanumeric characters).ex4’ from inside.
Next, launch MT4 and navigate to ‘File’ → ‘Open Data Folder’ → ‘MQL4’ → ‘Experts’ folder, and place the ex4 file inside. Once done, close MT4 and restart it. Then, go to the upper menu ‘Tools’ → ‘Options’, and under ‘Expert Advisors’, ensure ‘Allow automated trading’ and ‘Allow DLL imports’ are checked, then press OK to close.
The necessary currency pair and time frame for the correct operation of the EA are specified on the EA sales page. Refer to this information and open the chart of the correct currency pair time frame (e.g., USDJPY5M for a USD/Yen 5-minute chart).
Within the menu navigator, under ‘Expert Advisors’, you will find the EA file name you placed earlier. Click to select it, then drag & drop it directly onto the chart to load the EA. Alternatively, you can double-click the EA name to load it onto the selected chart.
If ‘Authentication Success’ appears in the upper left of the chart, the authentication has been successful. To operate the EA, you need to keep your PC running 24 hours. Therefore, either disable the automatic sleep function or host MT4 on a VPS and operate the EA.
If you want to use it with an account other than the authenticated one, you need to reset the registered account.
To reset the account, close the MT4 where the Web authentication is registered, then go to My Page on GogoJungle > Use > Digital Contents > the relevant EA > press the ‘Reset’ button for the registration number, and the registered account will be released.
When the account is in a reset state, using the EA with another MT4 account will register a new account.
Also, you can reset the account an unlimited number of times.
→ Items to Check When EA is Not Operating
1 lot = 100,000 currency units
0.1 lot = 10,000 currency units
0.01 lot = 1,000 currency units
For USD/JPY, 1 lot would mean holding 100,000 dollars.
The margin required to hold lots is determined by the leverage set by the Forex broker.
If the leverage is 25 times, the margin required to hold 10,000 currency units of USD/JPY would be:
10000*109 (※ at a rate of 109 yen per dollar) ÷ 25 = 43,600 yen.
・Risk-Return Ratio: Total Profit and Loss during the period ÷ Maximum Drawdown
・Maximum Drawdown: The largest unrealized loss during the operation period
・Maximum Position Number: This is the maximum number of positions that the EA can theoretically hold at the same time
・TP (Take Profit): The set profit-taking Pips (or specified amount, etc.) in the EA's settings
・SL (Stop Loss): The set maximum loss pips (or specified amount, etc.) in the EA's settings
・Trailing Stop: Instead of settling at a specified Pips, once a certain profit is made, the settlement SL is raised at a certain interval (towards the profit), maximizing the profit. It is a method of settlement.
・Risk-Reward Ratio (Payoff Ratio): Average Profit ÷ Average Loss
・Hedging: Holding both buy and sell positions simultaneously (Some FX companies also have types where hedging is not allowed)
