About EA's Strategy

------------------------------------------------------------- ☆☆☆ Features of "Gold Rush Premium" ☆☆☆ ------------------------------------------------------------- This EA uses the same logic as the "Flower Garden" I sell. The differences are the default settings and the absence of the averaging-down (nanshin) and martingale features. "Gold Rush Premium" has no averaging-down/martingale features. "Flower Garden" includes averaging-down/martingale features. ※ This EA is the Flower Garden without averaging-down/martingale features. There is no restriction on currency pairs. It will move on any currency pair as long as it’s a 15-minute chart. It has been crafted with a vegetables-garden pragmatic concept. The default settings are designed for operation on USDJPY, EURJPY, GBPJPY, and AUDJPY. When external parameters are optimized, it may be usable on other currency pairs, futures, CFDs, and cryptocurrencies. Depending on the external parameters, it can become a slow-and-steady EA or a big-profit EA. Changing the take-profit and stop-loss orders via external parameters will alter the pitch of favorable/unfavorable cycles. Optimization by backtesting is recommended. If that’s not feasible, operate with the default settings. ※ If you are running multiple EAs, please change the magic number per chart. This EA includes the following products I sell: - "Gold Rush Meister" - "Gold Rush Break" - "Nanpin Master" (without averaging-down) Adjust external parameters for optimization. It should help you assemble an ideal portfolio. The products I sell include "USDJPY STAR"https://www.gogojungle.co.jp/tools/indicators/76637"EURJPY STAR"https://www.gogojungle.co.jp/tools/indicators/76635"EURUSD STAR"https://www.gogojungle.co.jp/tools/indicators/76636"AUDJPY STAR"https://www.gogojungle.co.jp/tools/indicators/76558is a product that optimizes the external parameters of this EA. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ☆☆☆ External input parameter explanation for "Gold Rush Premium" ☆☆☆ --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ■ "Magic1" is an 8-digit number used to identify which EA order it is. Any number up to 8 digits is fine, but if using with other EAs, make sure to set a different number. ■ "Entry_start_hour" should be set to the start time of the entry window in GMT+3. ■ "Entry_end_hour" should be set to the end time of the entry window in GMT+3. ※ The times in this EA are based on GMT+2 and GMT+3. If using GMT+2, add 7 hours to convert to Japan time. If using GMT+3, add 6 hours. GMT+2 is winter time, GMT+3 is summer time. ■ "Weekend_close" is the ON/OFF setting for weekend closing. "Weekend_close_hour" is the time setting for weekend closing. ■ "Weekend_Refrain_from_Entry" is the ON/OFF setting for weekend entry restrictions. "Weekend_Refrain_from_Entry_hour" is the start time for prohibiting weekend entries. If set to 17, no entries occur from Friday 17:00 until close of market. ■ "Early_week_Entry" is the ON/OFF setting for early-week entry restriction. "Early_week_Entry_hour" is the end time setting for prohibiting early-week entries. If set to 17, there will be no entries from market open until Monday 17:00. ■ "Wednesday_Filter" is the ON/OFF setting for Wednesday entry restriction. "Wednesday_Entry_hour" is the start time for prohibiting Wednesday entries. If set to 17, no entries from Wednesday 17:00 to Thursday morning swap-take time. ■ "Yearend_Filter" is a filter to choose whether to enter from 12/20 to 1/5. ■ "Free_comment" is a comment displayed in the account history. It can be freely changed. ■ "Total_Max_position" is the maximum total number of positions (buy + sell). ■ "Max_position_buy" is the maximum number of buy positions. ■ "Max_position_sell" is the maximum number of sell positions. ■ "Lots" is the planned entry lot size. For example, 0.01 for 1000 base units, 0.1 for 10000 base units, 1.0 for 100000 base units. ■ "Trading_stop" selects whether to use the trailing stop feature or not. "Trading_trigger_pips" sets the price difference at which trailing stop starts to function. Once trailing stop activates, the stop loss is moved up by the width specified in "Trading_pips." "Trading_interval" is the update interval for trailing stop adjustments. In default settings, the stop loss moves every 5 seconds. ■ "Hi_Lo_stop" selects whether to exit based on high/low within the period specified by "Hi_Lo_period_H1." "Hi_Lo_period_H1" is the number of bars on the hourly chart used to measure highs and lows. Even if highs or lows are updated, it does not always exit. The logic is intentionally somewhat approximate. ■ "Scal_Exit_Logic" exits when a rebound occurs and the short-term trend reverses. ■ "MACD_Exit_Logic" exits when MACD reversal is detected on the chart’s time frame. ■ "Exit_logic" exits when the long-term trend reverses. ■ "TakeProfit" is the take-profit order price. ■ "StopLoss" is the stop-loss order price. ■ "Max_spread" prevents trading when the spread exceeds this value. ■ "Slippage" is the slippage allowed at order entry. ■ "Entry_interval" sets the waiting time between entries to prevent runaway consecutive entries. ※ If you set "Entry_interval" below 300, to prevent runaway behavior, entries will not occur. ■ "Money_Management" selects whether to compound profits. If compounding, set the value in "Risk_percent." ■ "Trend_display_M15_Buy" Regardless of the chart’s time frame, this is a buy-only logic targeting early trend movements. It pairs well with USD/JPY but is catastrophically incompatible with other pairs. ■ "Trend_display_ALL" A trend-first-entry logic based on the chart’s time frame. Buy on golden cross, sell on dead cross. Best operated on a daily chart. ■ "MACD_visualize_ALL" A trend-first-entry logic based on the chart’s time frame, using MACD to determine buy/sell signals. ■ "Holy_Grail_M5" A high-win-rate logic that does not assume stop loss. Target swaps for profits. ■ "Scal_Buster_M5" Long-term trend-following with short-term counter-trend scalping. ■ "Morning_Rush_M5" Scalping logic for overnight-to-morning Japan time. Entry trigger conditions are strict, resulting in fewer trades. ■ "Morning_Weapon_M5" Scalping logic for overnight-to-morning Japan time. Entry trigger conditions are looser, resulting in more trades. ■ "Gold_Rush_Meister_Ver_1" A swing-type logic aiming for the first move of the trend and chasing with follow-up. ■ "Gold_Rush_Meister_Ver_2" A chasing-type logic aimed at the first move of the long-term trend, a push-in style. ■ "Gold_Rush_Premium_Ver_1" A morning-entry logic in Japan time. Breakout-entry has no time specification. ■ "Gold_Rush_Premium_Ver_2" An enhanced version of Ver_1 with a trend filter to improve trading precision. Morning-entry logic in Japan time. Breakout-entry has no time specification. ■ "Gold_Rush_Premium_Ver_3" Generally the same as Ver_1 but adds a filter to avoid ranging markets. To compensate for the dramatically reduced trading frequency, it now enters from late night to morning. Unlike Ver_2, Ver_3 does not use a trend filter. ■ "Gold_Rush_Premium_Ver_4" An enhanced version of Ver_3 with a trend filter added to improve trading accuracy. Morning-entry logic in Japan time. Trading frequency is greatly reduced. ■ "Gold_Rush_Premium_Ver_5" Reverses the buy/sell logic of Ver_1 to a contrarian strategy. Adds a filter to avoid ranging markets. Adds a trend filter. Becomes a contrarian reversal strategy. ■ "Gold_Rush_Break_Ver_1" First-move trend targeting, a single-position-only logic. Performance degrades with multiple positions. ■ "Gold_Rush_Break_Ver_2" Improved version of Ver_1 with higher trading accuracy. Works with one-position operation but pairs well with multiple-position trading. ■ "Gold_Rush_Break_Ver_3" Enhanced version adding a range-avoidance filter to Ver_2’s logic. Works with one-position operation but pairs well with multiple positions. ■ "Gold_Rush_Break_Ver_4" Supports buying on dips, selling on rallies, and works with one-position operation, but trades better with multiple positions. ■ "Gold_Rush_Break_Ver_5" First-move trend targeting, multiple-position operation pairs well. ■ "Gold_Rush_Break_Ver_6" Adds a trend filter to Ver_4’s logic to improve trading precision. Works with dip-buying and rally-selling, and single-position operation, but performs better with multiple positions. ※ The external parameters above are easy to adjust, so try to find the optimal solution. ※ Please test on a demo account or via backtesting before live operation. -------------------------------------------------------------------- ☆☆☆ Recommended capital for "Gold Rush Premium" ☆☆☆ -------------------------------------------------------------------- With the default settings, a capital of around 1 million yen should be sufficient. It is advisable to prepare capital about twice the minimum required margin you expect to face.

Just like discretionary trading, there are those that decide trading and settlement timings by combining indicators, those that repeatedly buy or sell at certain price (pips) intervals, and trading methods that utilize market anomalies or temporal features. The variety is as rich as the methods in discretionary trading.
To categorize simply,
・Scalping (Type where trades are completed within a few minutes to a few hours),
・Day Trading (Type where trades are completed within several hours to about a day),
・Swing Trading (Type where trades are conducted over a relatively long period of about 1 day to 1 week)
・Grid/Martingale Trading (Holding multiple positions at equal or unequal intervals and settling all once a profit is made. Those that gradually increase the lot number are called Martingale.)
・Anomaly EA (Mid-price trading, early morning scalping)
However, a substantial advantage of automated trading is its ability to limit and predict risks beforehand.
[Risk]
Inherent to forex trading are the trading risks that undeniably exist in automated trading as well.
・Lot Size Risk
Increasing the lot size forcibly due to a high winning rate can, in rare instances, depending on the EA, lead to substantial Pips loss when a loss occurs. It is crucial to verify the SL Pips and the number of positions held before operating with an appropriate lot.
・Rapid Market Fluctuation Risk
There are instances where market prices fluctuate rapidly due to index announcements or unforeseen news. System trading does not account for such unpredictable market movements, rendering it incapable of making decisions on whether to settle in advance or abstain from trading. As a countermeasure, utilizing tools that halt the EA based on indicator announcements or the VIX (fear index) is also possible.
[Benefits]
・Operates 24 hours a day
If there is an opportunity, system trading will execute trades on your behalf consistently. It proves to be an extremely convenient tool for those unable to allocate time to trading.
・Trades dispassionately without being swayed by emotions
There is an absence of self-serving rule modifications, a common human tendency, such as increasing the lot size after consecutive losses in discretionary trading or, conversely, hastily securing profits with minimal gains.
・Accessible for beginners
To engage in Forex trading, there is no prerequisite to study; anyone using system trading will achieve the same results.
[Disadvantages]
・Cannot increase trading frequency at will
Since system trading operates based on pre-programmed conditions, depending on the type of EA, it might only execute trades a few times a month.
・Suitability may vary with market conditions
Depending on the trading type of the EA, there are periods more suited to trend trading and periods more suited to contrarian trading, making consistent results across all periods unlikely. While the previous year might have yielded good results, this year's performance might not be as promising, necessitating some level of discretion in determining whether it is an opportune time to operate.
・MT4 (MetaTrader 4. An account needs to be opened with a Forex company that offers MT4.)
・EA (A program for automated trading)
・The operating deposit required to run the EA
・A PC that can run 24 hours or a VPS (Virtual Private Server), where a virtual PC is hosted on a cloud server to run MT4.
Additionally, there are both demo and real accounts available. You can experience trading with virtual money by applying for a demo account. After opening a real account, you select the connection server assigned by the Forex broker, enter the password, and log in to the account.
When you deposit money into your account using the method specified by the forex broker, the funds will be reflected in your MT4 account, and you can trade.
Firstly, download the purchased EA file from your My Page on GogoJungle. You will download a zip (compressed) file, so right-click to extract it and retrieve the file named ‘◯◯◯ (EA name)_A19GAw09 (any 8 alphanumeric characters).ex4’ from inside.
Next, launch MT4 and navigate to ‘File’ → ‘Open Data Folder’ → ‘MQL4’ → ‘Experts’ folder, and place the ex4 file inside. Once done, close MT4 and restart it. Then, go to the upper menu ‘Tools’ → ‘Options’, and under ‘Expert Advisors’, ensure ‘Allow automated trading’ and ‘Allow DLL imports’ are checked, then press OK to close.
The necessary currency pair and time frame for the correct operation of the EA are specified on the EA sales page. Refer to this information and open the chart of the correct currency pair time frame (e.g., USDJPY5M for a USD/Yen 5-minute chart).
Within the menu navigator, under ‘Expert Advisors’, you will find the EA file name you placed earlier. Click to select it, then drag & drop it directly onto the chart to load the EA. Alternatively, you can double-click the EA name to load it onto the selected chart.
If ‘Authentication Success’ appears in the upper left of the chart, the authentication has been successful. To operate the EA, you need to keep your PC running 24 hours. Therefore, either disable the automatic sleep function or host MT4 on a VPS and operate the EA.
If you want to use it with an account other than the authenticated one, you need to reset the registered account.
To reset the account, close the MT4 where the Web authentication is registered, then go to My Page on GogoJungle > Use > Digital Contents > the relevant EA > press the ‘Reset’ button for the registration number, and the registered account will be released.
When the account is in a reset state, using the EA with another MT4 account will register a new account.
Also, you can reset the account an unlimited number of times.
→ Items to Check When EA is Not Operating
1 lot = 100,000 currency units
0.1 lot = 10,000 currency units
0.01 lot = 1,000 currency units
For USD/JPY, 1 lot would mean holding 100,000 dollars.
The margin required to hold lots is determined by the leverage set by the Forex broker.
If the leverage is 25 times, the margin required to hold 10,000 currency units of USD/JPY would be:
10000*109 (※ at a rate of 109 yen per dollar) ÷ 25 = 43,600 yen.
・Risk-Return Ratio: Total Profit and Loss during the period ÷ Maximum Drawdown
・Maximum Drawdown: The largest unrealized loss during the operation period
・Maximum Position Number: This is the maximum number of positions that the EA can theoretically hold at the same time
・TP (Take Profit): The set profit-taking Pips (or specified amount, etc.) in the EA's settings
・SL (Stop Loss): The set maximum loss pips (or specified amount, etc.) in the EA's settings
・Trailing Stop: Instead of settling at a specified Pips, once a certain profit is made, the settlement SL is raised at a certain interval (towards the profit), maximizing the profit. It is a method of settlement.
・Risk-Reward Ratio (Payoff Ratio): Average Profit ÷ Average Loss
・Hedging: Holding both buy and sell positions simultaneously (Some FX companies also have types where hedging is not allowed)
