⛀Overview
The "Big Profit, Small Loss" Hundred Flowers EA operates on the GBPUSD currency pair.
It uses daily candles in some internal logic, so it is recommended to operate with brokers that have GMT+2/+3 settings.
It employs nine types of entry logic designed with a focus on long-term stability, ensuring careful and precise entries.
After entry, it follows the market with a unique algorithm's trailing stop function, aiming for maximum profit.

⛀Features
⛀Big Profit, Small Loss
The main strategy aims for "Big Profit, Small Loss".It achieves an average profit that is more than double the average loss, with a win rate of over 40%.
Each entry is made with a solid stance, aiming for the ultimate strike while incorporating minor loss exits.
⛀High Expected Returns
When operated with 0.8 lots, the expected return (average profit and loss per position including wins and losses) isover +10,000 yen, which is an astonishing figure.
⛀Straightforward and High Performance
Using techniques like averaging down or martingalecan easily increase profitability and PF, showing an upward trend until bankruptcy in the short term.
While there are situations where the above techniques can be effectively used,
this EA is developed without using such gimmicky techniques, aiming for the highest performance achievable through straightforward methods.
As a result, over 10 years of0.8 lot simple interest operation and1 position backtest,
PF2.59 achieved24 million yen(over48 times the initial required margin) in pure profit.
⛀Increased Entries During Long-Term Trend Occurrences
An algorithm that determines the continuous direction of the market is adopted in some entry logic, which allows for aggressive entries in the determined direction during continuous upward or downward trends,
earning significant profits while the trend continues.
⛀Unique Algorithm's Trailing Stop Function
It adjusts its parameters based on market conditions and entry positions, updating S/L at optimal intervals to maximize profits, employing a unique algorithm's trailing stop function.
This function is the core of the EA, with all other operations devised, implemented, and optimized around it.
⛀Variable Stop Loss Function
At the time of entry, it sets an optimal value between 50 Pips and 78 Pips based on market conditions and entry position, employing a variable stop loss function that prevents significant drawdowns.
⛀Features for Simultaneous Operation of Multiple EAs
⛀Carefully Selected Entry Logic
With a focus on long-term trend following and short-term counter-trend trading,
the overall strategy is to read the direction of significant movements likely to be triggered by major players based on chart movements.

⛀Backtest Results
In a long-term backtest over 10 years, it recorded a win rate of over 40% and a PF exceeding 2.50, along with high profits.
⛀When operated with 0.8 lots
It started from an entry requiring less than 500,000 yen (⅛) in margin,
recording over 20 million yen in profit over 10 years.
(over48 times the initial required margin)
⅛ Required margin per 0.8 lot in an account with a maximum leverage of 25 times

⛀When operated with 1.0 lots
It started from an entry requiring less than 600,000 yen (⅛) in margin,
recording over 30 million yen in profit over 10 years.
⅛ Required margin per 1.0 lot in an account with a maximum leverage of 25 times

⛀When operated with compound interest at 6 times leverage (for comparison with other EAs that have published backtests using compound interest)
It started from an initial capital of 1 million yen with an entry requiring less than 300,000 yen (⅛) in margin,
recording over 7.9 billion yen in profit over 10 years.
(over26,000 times the initial required margin)
⅛ Required margin per 0.42 to 0.49 lots in an account with a maximum leverage of 25 times

⛯ Additionally, results for single interest operations with a typical lot size of 0.1 over more than 10 years are also published in the backtest on GogoJungle (fx-on), so please refer to that.

⛀FAQ
Q: It is not listed under the available companies (brokers) for operation, but will it work with ~?
A: It will generally work with brokers that officially support MT4.
This EA recommends operation with brokers that have GMT+2/+3 settings, so please keep that in mind.
(GMT+2/+3 is a globally standard time setting in MT4, and as of the end of 2017, it is generally adopted by Japanese brokers as well)
Q: What is GMT+2/+3? Where can I check it?
A: It refers to the time setting of the broker's server.
It is mainly adopted by most brokers to ensure "five daily candles per week".
You can search for "(broker name) GMT" to find web pages that describe the time settings.
Q: How often do you enter trades?
A: On average, it enters trades about three times a week over the 10-year backtest, but
the aggressiveness of entries varies significantly depending on whether the internal logic indicates a long-term trend.
Additionally, during low volatility periods (when prices are not moving), entries are also infrequent, so
please keep in mind that this EA does not maintain positions at all times and is intended for long-term operation.
Q: A position was closed even though it had not reached the stop loss (S/L), is this normal operation?
A: In addition to the trailing stop, there is also a profit-taking logic, which may have been activated.
Also, there is a weekend position close function, so please refer to those settings as well.
Q: I received a message saying "Not enough memory for ~" in the "Trade History" tab, what is the cause?
A: This indicates that MT4 is using too much memory on the PC.
If this message appears in the "Trade History" tab, we cannot guarantee the operation of the EA, so please restart immediately.
Even if you already had positions, the EA will recognize them and resume management after the restart.
Possible causes include operational issues such as having too many charts or technical indicators open on one MT4, running too many EAs,
the influence of broker-customized MT4, or the performance of the PC.
You can alleviate this issue by reducing the values of "Maximum bars in history" and "Maximum bars in chart" in the MT4 options (but keep it at least above 2,000).
If you feel something is wrong with the operation, please check the "Trade History" tab.
Q: The backtest is not functioning properly.
A: Backtesting requires numerous preparations and precautions, such as:
- Changing "Maximum bars in history" in MT4 to at least 5,000,000 and restarting
- Obtaining historical data for the period to be measured
- Generating data from 5-minute to monthly candles from the obtained historical data and restarting (requires tool usage)
- Selecting "Every tick" for the "Model" option in the strategy tester
- Changing the relevant parameters of the EA for brokers that are not GMT+2/+3
Q: What time frame settings should I use for the chart running the EA?
A: You can choose any time frame for the chart, as the internal implementation refers to a fixed time frame.
It will operate similarly on any time frame.
Q: The explanation text on the parameter input screen is garbled.
A: This may occur in MT4 that has been heavily customized by the broker or in some special VPS environments.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but please cross-reference the numbers and explanations listed in the "Parameter Explanation" section of this page.
Q: How should I specifically set the lot size?
A: If you are operating with simple interest (fixed lot),
set "Use compound interest" to "false" and specify the desired lot size in "Lot size during simple interest operation".
If you are operating with compound interest,
set "Use compound interest" to "true" and specify how many times the funds will be leveraged in "Leverage used for compound interest".
The default for "Leverage used for compound interest" is "6" times, and it is recommended to keep it below "10" times for risk management.
Also, please note that this is not the place to input the broker's maximum leverage.
When compound interest is enabled, the following information will be displayed on the chart.

OrderLot: "Lot size per position during compound interest"
UseLeverage: "Set leverage", MaxLeverage: "Broker's maximum leverage"
MinLot: "Broker's minimum lot size", MaxLot: "Broker's maximum lot size"
MarginRequiredPerLot: "Required surplus margin for a 1.0 lot order"
Please ensure that the information displayed here is correct.
If it is incorrect, the compound calculation cannot be performed correctly, so we apologize for the inconvenience but please operate with simple interest.
There have been actual cases where brokers set abnormal values for "Broker's maximum lot size" or "Required surplus margin for a 1.0 lot order" in MT4.
(For example, in the demo account of XM Trading or when backtesting with GEMFOREX on an older version of MT4)
Q: My broker has a maximum leverage of ~ times and a margin of ~ yen, what lot size is recommended for operation?
A: We recommend a lot size that can be operated with a leverage of 10 times or less, which is generally recommended for risk management.
Considering the currency rate in August 2018, for a margin of "1 million" yen, it is recommended to operate with "0.7" lots or less.
Please use the above values as a reference for your relative judgment.
Also, even if it is an account with a maximum leverage of 500 times, there may be differences in the margin until forced liquidation, but fundamentally, there is no difference in risk compared to an account with 25 times leverage, so this recommendation remains unchanged.
Q: How should I specifically set the time settings?
A: If the broker's server time setting is recommended GMT+2/+3, the initial values are fine.
The parameters for time settings are mainly as follows.
▀ "Enable automatic GMT calculation"
▁ "Broker's summer time format"
▂ "Broker's standard time GMT"
▃ "Broker's summer time GMT"
Q: The entries or transitions were different from the forward test.
A: The data, spreads, slippage, and execution quality of the charts provided by each broker differ, and the environmental conditions such as the PC or VPS and their communication lines also vary, so please understand that there may be differences in operation.
We have confirmed that with brokers that meet the performance standards of modern brokers, such as "OANDA Japan Tokyo Server" and "Titan FX Blade Account", over 80% of the transitions are similar, and many of our EAs have produced better results than the forward test environment of "OANDA JAPAN Demo Account" published on GogoJungle (fx-on) in the long term, so we hope you will consider switching depending on the performance of the broker you are using.
Q: There was a floating profit of ~ Pips, but it was not taken.
A: This EA primarily aims for maximum profit through trailing stops and profit-taking logic, positioning itself with a view of profits ranging from 30 to 100 Pips or even more.
The adjustments are made considering the maximum profit from a comprehensive view over more than 10 years of backtesting, as well as avoiding drawdowns through minor loss exits, so we hope you understand.
Also, if you wish, you can manually close the positions acquired by the EA, and it will recognize that there are no positions left and will operate normally, so feel free to do so.

⛀Parameter Explanation
⅛Basically, you do not need to change any parameters other than whether to enable compound interest and the lot size.
⅛Below are the parameter names, but when the EA is running, they will be replaced with descriptions as shown in the images.
| Parameter Name | Number | Description |
|---|---|---|
| MagicNumber1~9 | B01~B09 | EA's magic number (unique number) 1-9 Used internally by the EA to identify the positions it has entered. If there are other EAs running simultaneously, please change each magic number to a non-overlapping number of 1 or more. Also, setting it to a negative value (-1, etc.) will disable the corresponding entry logic. |
| Comment | B10 | String written in the order comment field Can specify up to 31 half-width characters. Mainly used for users to understand the trades made by the EA. Also, if you set a string containing "[]" at the end with 25 half-width characters or less, it will enable a function to append the number corresponding to the activated entry logic to the comment. |
| IsEnabledCheckPropertiesAndOptions | B11 | Whether to perform a simple check of the EA's properties and MT4 options at startup If set to "true", it will perform a simple check of each setting at startup. If there are clear issues, such as automatic trading not being allowed or insufficient margin compared to the required margin, it will display the issues in an alert and may terminate the EA. |
| Parameter Name | Number | Description |
|---|---|---|
| IsEnabledAutoGMT | T01 | Whether to perform automatic GMT calculation For normal operation, the local PC's time settings need to be correct. Since it recommends operation with brokers that have GMT+2/+3 settings, it is disabled and fixed with the following three items. While the accuracy of some entries may decrease, it will still operate with brokers that do not have the recommended time settings, so please enable this if you use such brokers. In that case, if the local PC's time is incorrect or during backtesting, please disable it and specify the following three. |
| BrokerDaylight SavingTimeType | T02 | Broker's summer time format Supports non-adoption of summer time, US style, and UK style. For general GMT+2/+3 brokers, specify the US style. |
| Broker StandardTimeGMT | T03 | Broker's standard time GMT For general GMT+2/+3 brokers, specify 2. |
| BrokerDaylight SavingTimeGMT | T04 | Broker's summer time GMT For general GMT+2/+3 brokers, specify 3. |
| IsEnabledDrawTimes | T05 | Whether to draw each time For time confirmation. If EATime correctly points to GMT+2/+3 during trading hours, it will operate normally. Outside trading hours, EATime and ServerTime will not be updated. |
⅛If you change parameters directly related to entries, please do so carefully after verifying through backtesting.
| Parameter Name | Number | Description |
|---|---|---|
| IsEnabledCompound InterestCalculation | E01 | Whether to operate with compound interest Set to "true" for compound interest and "false" for simple interest. If operating with compound interest, please also fill in the "Type of funds for compound interest" and "Leverage used for compound interest" fields. |
| Lots | E02 | Lot size during simple interest operation Specify the lot size per position during simple interest operation. This will not be referenced during compound interest operation. |
| CompoundInterest CalculationType | E03 | Type of funds for compound interest "Balance" refers to the pure amount of funds deposited. If other EAs are also running simultaneously, it is safer to set it to "FreeMargin". |
| CompoundInterest UseLeverage | E04 | Leverage used for compound interest (times) During compound interest operation, the maximum lot size applicable is derived from "Type of funds for compound interest" × "Leverage used for compound interest". It is generally recommended to set it to a value below "10" for risk management, as operating with leverage above 10 times is often discouraged. Please note that this is not the place to input the broker's maximum leverage. |
| IsEnabledDraw LotInformation | E05 | Whether to display information regarding lot size During compound interest operation, please ensure that the information displayed here is correct. OrderLot: "Lot size per position during compound interest" UseLeverage: "Set leverage", MaxLeverage: "Broker's maximum leverage" MinLot: "Broker's minimum lot size", MaxLot: "Broker's maximum lot size" MarginRequiredPerLot: "Required surplus margin for a 1.0 lot order" |
| SlippagePips | E06 | Allowed slippage (in Pips) If slippage exceeds this value, no entry will be made. 1 Pip = 10 Points |
| MaxSpreadPoint | E07 | Allowed spread (in Points) If the spread exceeds this value, no entry will be made. |
| IsEnabledEntryRestriction ByFreeMargin | E08 | Whether to restrict entries based on surplus margin If set to "true", the following two items will be enabled. You can set it to refrain from entering if you already hold positions due to operating multiple EAs and do not have surplus margin. |
| FreeMarginPercent ForEntryRestriction | E09 | Required percentage of surplus margin relative to the required margin for new entries (%) If this percentage is not met, no entry will be made. |
| FreeMarginAfterEntry ForEntryRestriction | E10 | Required amount of surplus margin after new entry (in account currency) If the amount remaining after subtracting the required margin for the new entry from the current surplus margin is less than this value, no entry will be made. |
| IsEnabledEntryRestriction OnTradeTimeoutError | E11 | Whether to restrict entries during order timeout errors If an entry order fails due to a server timeout error, no entries will be made for the next 60 minutes. This function is designed to prevent multiple orders in extremely poor environments where it takes more than 10 minutes from order to response. |
| EntryWaitMinutesAfterStartup | E12 | Entry restriction time after startup (in minutes) It will not enter until the specified number of 1-minute candles have updated after startup. This function is designed to reduce differences in operation due to the state of the chart or technical specifications immediately after starting MT4. |
| EntryStartHour | E13 | Entry start time at the beginning of the week (hour) based on GMT+2/+3 No entries will be made before this time on Monday. |
| EntryStartMinute | E14 | Entry start time at the beginning of the week (minute) based on GMT+2/+3 No entries will be made before this time on Monday. |
| EntryEndHour | E15 | Entry end time at the weekend (hour) based on GMT+2/+3 No entries will be made after this time on Friday. |
| EntryEndMinute | E16 | Entry end time at the weekend (minute) based on GMT+2/+3 No entries will be made after this time on Friday. |
| IsEnabledWeekendClose | E17 | Whether to use the weekend position close function. |
| WeekendCloseHour | E18 | Weekend position close time (hour) based on GMT+2/+3 If positions are held after this time on Friday, they will be closed. |
| WeekendCloseMinute | E19 | Weekend position close time (minute) based on GMT+2/+3 If positions are held after this time on Friday, they will be closed. |
| Parameter Name | Number | Description |
|---|---|---|
| TrailingStopStartPointOffset | M01 | Offset for the starting position of the trailing stop (in Points) The trailing stop, which starts from a minor loss position in its initial state, is moved relatively in Points. It can be specified in the range of "-64 to +64", moving in the profit direction for positive values and in the loss direction for negative values. ⅛This is a non-recommended operation item. |

About Forex Automated Trading
What is Forex Automated Trading (MT4 EA)?
Forex Automated Trading refers to trading that is automated through programming, incorporating predetermined trading and settlement rules. There are various methods to conduct automated trading, but at GogoJungle, we deal with Experts Advisors (hereinafter referred to as EA) that operate on a trading platform called MT4.
Trading Types of Forex Automated Trading
There are various types of EAs (Expert Advisors) for different trading types that can be used on MT4.
Just like discretionary trading, there are those that decide trading and settlement timings by combining indicators, those that repeatedly buy or sell at certain price (pips) intervals, and trading methods that utilize market anomalies or temporal features. The variety is as rich as the methods in discretionary trading.
To categorize simply,
・Scalping (Type where trades are completed within a few minutes to a few hours),
・Day Trading (Type where trades are completed within several hours to about a day),
・Swing Trading (Type where trades are conducted over a relatively long period of about 1 day to 1 week)
・Grid/Martingale Trading (Holding multiple positions at equal or unequal intervals and settling all once a profit is made. Those that gradually increase the lot number are called Martingale.)
・Anomaly EA (Mid-price trading, early morning scalping)

Risks, Advantages, and Disadvantages of Forex Automated Trading
When engaging in Forex, there are risks in automated trading just as there are in discretionary trading.
However, a substantial advantage of automated trading is its ability to limit and predict risks beforehand.
[Risk]
Inherent to forex trading are the trading risks that undeniably exist in automated trading as well.
・Lot Size Risk
Increasing the lot size forcibly due to a high winning rate can, in rare instances, depending on the EA, lead to substantial Pips loss when a loss occurs. It is crucial to verify the SL Pips and the number of positions held before operating with an appropriate lot.
・Rapid Market Fluctuation Risk
There are instances where market prices fluctuate rapidly due to index announcements or unforeseen news. System trading does not account for such unpredictable market movements, rendering it incapable of making decisions on whether to settle in advance or abstain from trading. As a countermeasure, utilizing tools that halt the EA based on indicator announcements or the VIX (fear index) is also possible.
[Benefits]
・Operates 24 hours a day
If there is an opportunity, system trading will execute trades on your behalf consistently. It proves to be an extremely convenient tool for those unable to allocate time to trading.
・Trades dispassionately without being swayed by emotions
There is an absence of self-serving rule modifications, a common human tendency, such as increasing the lot size after consecutive losses in discretionary trading or, conversely, hastily securing profits with minimal gains.
・Accessible for beginners
To engage in Forex trading, there is no prerequisite to study; anyone using system trading will achieve the same results.
[Disadvantages]
・Cannot increase trading frequency at will
Since system trading operates based on pre-programmed conditions, depending on the type of EA, it might only execute trades a few times a month.
・Suitability may vary with market conditions
Depending on the trading type of the EA, there are periods more suited to trend trading and periods more suited to contrarian trading, making consistent results across all periods unlikely. While the previous year might have yielded good results, this year's performance might not be as promising, necessitating some level of discretion in determining whether it is an opportune time to operate.
However, a substantial advantage of automated trading is its ability to limit and predict risks beforehand.

Equipment and Environment Needed for Automated Trading Operation
The requirements for operating automated trading (EA) on MT4 are as follows:
・MT4 (MetaTrader 4. An account needs to be opened with a Forex company that offers MT4.)
・EA (A program for automated trading)
・The operating deposit required to run the EA
・A PC that can run 24 hours or a VPS (Virtual Private Server), where a virtual PC is hosted on a cloud server to run MT4.

Installation of MT4 and Account Login
If you open an account with a forex broker that supports MT4, you can use MT4 as provided by that forex broker. MT4 is a stand-alone type of software that needs to be installed on your computer, so you download the program file from the website of the FX company where you opened the account and install it on your computer.
Additionally, there are both demo and real accounts available. You can experience trading with virtual money by applying for a demo account. After opening a real account, you select the connection server assigned by the Forex broker, enter the password, and log in to the account.
When you deposit money into your account using the method specified by the forex broker, the funds will be reflected in your MT4 account, and you can trade.

How to Install EA on MT4
To set up an EA when you purchase it through GogoJungle, follow the steps below:
Firstly, download the purchased EA file from your My Page on GogoJungle. You will download a zip (compressed) file, so right-click to extract it and retrieve the file named ‘◯◯◯ (EA name)_A19GAw09 (any 8 alphanumeric characters).ex4’ from inside.
Next, launch MT4 and navigate to ‘File’ → ‘Open Data Folder’ → ‘MQL4’ → ‘Experts’ folder, and place the ex4 file inside. Once done, close MT4 and restart it. Then, go to the upper menu ‘Tools’ → ‘Options’, and under ‘Expert Advisors’, ensure ‘Allow automated trading’ and ‘Allow DLL imports’ are checked, then press OK to close.
The necessary currency pair and time frame for the correct operation of the EA are specified on the EA sales page. Refer to this information and open the chart of the correct currency pair time frame (e.g., USDJPY5M for a USD/Yen 5-minute chart).
Within the menu navigator, under ‘Expert Advisors’, you will find the EA file name you placed earlier. Click to select it, then drag & drop it directly onto the chart to load the EA. Alternatively, you can double-click the EA name to load it onto the selected chart.
If ‘Authentication Success’ appears in the upper left of the chart, the authentication has been successful. To operate the EA, you need to keep your PC running 24 hours. Therefore, either disable the automatic sleep function or host MT4 on a VPS and operate the EA.

About the Size of Trading Lots
In Forex trading, the size of a lot is usually:
1 lot = 100,000 currency units
0.1 lot = 10,000 currency units
0.01 lot = 1,000 currency units
For USD/JPY, 1 lot would mean holding 100,000 dollars.
The margin required to hold lots is determined by the leverage set by the Forex broker.
If the leverage is 25 times, the margin required to hold 10,000 currency units of USD/JPY would be:
10000*109 (※ at a rate of 109 yen per dollar) ÷ 25 = 43,600 yen.

0.1 lot = 10,000 currency units
