Performance of EA operations on real accounts and explanation of the EA portfolio (from 2024 to February 24, 2025)

I will continue to operate without taking holidays at year-end, and since enough data has been accumulated, I plan to publish the forward results.

I use VPS from ABLENET and Onamae.com Desktop Cloud for operating the automated EA trading.

My main account FXTF was moved to ABLENET on October 30 last year.

In 2024, I had a strong start in the first half and ended up with about 1.2 million yen in annual EA trading profit, but after a relatively large drawdown in the latter half, the performance of EA appears to have become clearly split between good and bad.

Personally, from around July 2024 I feel the big trend market wave has ended.

For simple trend-following EAs, it may be a market where achieving results is difficult.

For example, PerfectOrder_GBPJPY has been sluggish since the latter half of last year.

There are several other EAs that fell into a slump around the same period, but pullback buying, selling on rallies, and multi-logic EAs have shown stable performance.

If the market continues to swing back and forth in the future, simple trend-following EAs may become more difficult to profit from.

On the other hand, whether reverse-variance EAs can win cannot be said unequivocally, and averaging-down EAs carry a risk of large losses during major events.

In the end, what we can do is choose EAs that fit the recent market conditions.

Therefore, from the perspective of an EA developer, I will write an article reporting on the performance of each EA.

I hope it will be helpful in selecting an EA.

First, I will introduce the main account, FXTF.

FXTF was transferred to ABLENET's VPS on October 30, 2024, and the operating history runs from October 30 this year to February 24, 2025.

For calculating profits and losses, I use an indicator that makes it easy to see the profit and loss graph at a glance, “Profit_and_Loss_Graph_r14.”

Profit Factor 0.51 ⇒ Stopped

It is a reverse-variance EA, but since it has not recovered from the drawdown after July last year, its operation has ceased.

It is a trend-following EA, and it has not lost in the recent market, so I will continue to operate it.

Does not go against long-term trends, but is a mean-reversion EA on short timeframes. It is well-suited to the current market and will be continued.

I also added a forward test to see if the same settings can win on a real account with Gaitame Finest as well.
