Thought power: "Pursuit of profit" and "Pursuit of strategy"
Hello, I am Nikkei OP selling days as the administrator.
Thank you very much for visiting this blog.
I would like to provide information that can be of help to everyone, so please support me.
Now, the theme this time isPursuit of profits and pursuit of strategy.
I believe there are two aspects to investing.
<The first is financial.>
☆ In other words, earnings.
☆ To put it bluntly, if you make money, it doesn't matter what the strategy is.
<The second is psychological.>
☆ In other words, a mental thing about whether it hits or misses.
☆ Also, in extreme terms, making money does not matter; whether the strategy hits or misses becomes important.
With spot stocks, currencies, etc., unless the strategy hits, it is hard to generate profits.
On the other hand, option selling strategies can generate profits even if the market outlook is somewhat off.
This feature is an incredibly attractive characteristic for “profit-seeking investors.”
Therefore, if you combine many options and get too absorbed in it, you may end up relying on a direction as a result.
Note) Short strangles (selling OTM calls and puts) and calendar spreads (selling near-term options and buying the same strike options in a later period to aim for the time decay difference) are not bound by this.
Why do people get obsessed with strategies? Because when a strategy hits, a feeling like “I am incredibly superior” arises.
At that time, dopamine is released in large amounts.
If this pleasure becomes unforgettable, there is a risk of gambling addiction, so it is necessary to calmly control one's emotions.
The same state can occur with casinos, pachinko, and horse racing.
This is another battle with one's desires. Always stay cool and composed.
Note) The above is my personal opinion and is intended solely to improve financial literacy. Therefore, it is not created for the purpose of investment solicitation. The final decision on actual investments should be made at your own risk.
