10 consecutive months of end-of-month stability
Nikkei Stock Average fell for the third straight trading day.
Since September last year, the month-end decline has lasted 10 months, with a rare up day on June 30 as well...
In the morning, aided by solid U.S. economic data, US stocks advanced on the 29th, and the NIKKEI rose to 28,998 yen in the first session (up 186 yen from the previous day).
However, buyings did not continue, and after the first wave, it turned to selling on the pullback and to-taking profits, slipping to as low as 28,779 yen (down 32 yen).
There were moments of recovery, but by the close it remained weak.
The Mothers Index rose modestly.
Although it started with small losses, it reversed to a positive at the morning close.
In the afternoon session, it shifted from plus to minus, then finished again in positive territory.
