Mothers’ commerce surges
Nikkei average stock price continues to rise.
In the morning, following the Nasdaq Composite and S&P 500 indices reaching new highs, buying led by tech stocks.
Near the close, it rose to 29,480 yen (up 319 yen from the previous day).
The Nikkei average returned to levels not seen since May 10.
Semiconductor-related stocks and pharmaceutical stocks remained solid, supporting the index.
Toyota rose to the 10,000 yen level for the first time.
In the Nikkei average daily chart, the price pierced the Ichimoku cloud as the real body (stock price, candlestick) passed through.
The Mothers Index rose for a seventh straight day, at levels not seen since May 6.
The Tokyo market overall held steady, and the continuing upward record in the Mothers market persisted.
