Small reflux
The Nikkei Stock Average edged lower slightly.
In the morning, buoyed by a decline in US long-term interest rates, buying led as US stocks rose on the 10th.
It briefly turned down, then recovered, but softened again.
Fluctuating up and down, the market showed no clear direction.
After falling to 28,839 yen (down 119 yen from the previous day), it rose to 29,080 yen (up 122 yen).
However, it remained at a modest level toward the pre-close.
The market’s estimated SQ (Special Quotation) for the June Nikkei stock index futures and options is 29,046.40 yen.
Whether it surpasses this level is the focal point.
The Mothers Index continued its five-session rise, but the gains narrowed toward the pre-close.
