Buy first, then decline after ahead of the market
The Nikkei Stock Average opened higher and then fell.
On the local 16th, the U.S. stock market saw the Dow Jones Industrial Average rise for the third day in a row to a new intraday high, and the Nasdaq Composite also extended its gains, keeping buying pressure prevailing.
However, the momentum faded, and the market turned lower. It fell to 29,530 yen, down 1,152 from the prior week’s close, showing some restraint.
The Mothers Index fluctuated around the previous week’s close.
