Nikkei stock average declined.
In the morning, helped by the previous week’s US stock market, where the Dow Jones Industrial Average reached a new high and the Nasdaq Composite kept rising, buying dominated.
Right after the opening, it reached 29,876 yen (107 yen higher than the previous week’s close).
It turned lower, then paused around the previous week’s close for a while, but gradually softened,
and near the mid-morning break it fell to 29,613 yen (down 154 yen from the prior close).
The Mothers Index, after a strong morning, widened its decline toward the pre-close.
Its decline exceeded 2% at the pre-close.
However, IPOs recently added to the Mothers Index were also rising in price...
