Market around 30,0100 yen as a range
Nikkei 225 closes higher for the third straight day.
Following the outside-U.S. session where U.S. stock index futures rose, the market opened higher at 30,195 yen (up 341 yen from the previous session's close) in the early morning.
After a brief extension, it faltered but then recovered, and it stayed around 30,100 yen without further buying momentum, trading in a range.
The Mothers Index slipped into negative territory after about 11 a.m.
