Value-led high-tech stocks lead
The Nikkei Stock Average rebounded sharply.
In the U.S. stock market, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose to a record high for the second day in a row, and the Nasdaq Composite also extended its gains, providing an early buy signal this morning.
By 10:00 a.m., it was at 30,485 yen, up 570 yen from the previous day’s close, marking today’s high.
Support came from higher-than-usual trading in index futures and a rebound in the Shanghai Composite Index, keeping the market on a firm footing.
Tech high-priced shares led the way.
The Mothers Index extended its gains for a third straight session at the morning session.
Mid-cap and small-cap issues were also in demand.
