[US Stocks] It will be a back-and-forth year.
Hello, Lehman (@Lehman1980).
The U.S. stock market has been moving up and down over the past two weeks. It looks like it’s consolidating.
That said, the S&P 500 has updated its all-time high twice since December 4, reaching 3,722 on the 17th.
On the 18th, it fell somewhat due to high-price caution, but it seems that rotation into cyclicals continues.
<S&P 500 index closing price and all-time high 3,722 (20201217)>
This is the SBI Securities account summary. (as of the December 18 close)
Unrealized gains plus cumulative results with losses and dividends total about +$4,600. versus the previous week, +$100 approximately.
Recently, the dollar-yen has fallen below 1 USD = 103 JPY, so I converted an additional 500,000 yen to dollars.
As a result, the invested principal stands at about $132,000.
Combined with trading, stock holdings are about $86,000 and money market funds’ available funds are about $50,000, making the ratio 63:37.
