Bollinger Bands Extra Version

There are two types of Bollinger Bands included with the standard MT4.

In the menu
"Insert" - "Indicators" - "Trend" - "Bollinger Bands"
"Insert" - "Indicators" - "Custom" - "Bands"
.

The specifications differ somewhat, but in both cases the type of the center line is fixed as a "Simple Moving Average".

For example, when using MACD, in the main chart you would draw the two moving averages that underlie MACD, 12 EMA and 26 EMA.
If you want to add an indicator of market momentum as well, you can include Bollinger Bands.
When you actually create the chart, it looks like the following.

↓ Yellow: 12EMA Red: 26EMA Blue: 26-period Bollinger Band (1σ, 2σ, 3σ)



Since the Bollinger Bands included with MT4 are fixed to a Simple Moving Average, overlaying the bands results in the center line appearing offset in a slightly odd way.

Therefore, I created an extended version of Bollinger Bands where you can freely choose the type of the center line moving average.

The next chart shows bands with the center line set to 26 EMA.

This "Bollinger Bands Extended Version" indicator can draw the center line and three sets of bands simultaneously.
Also, it can display where the current rate is located within the bands (in the upper-right corner of the chart above).
