Hello everyone, this is Okachan-man. This video summarizes the three important points for this week that Okachan-man highlights. First, the Minutes of the Board. Second, Jackson Hole. Third, the G7 leaders' summit.
First, the Minutes of the Board: three central banks' minutes that are watched for rate cuts will be released. On the 20th at 10:30 is the RBA Australia. Then on the 22nd at 03:00 is the FOMC. And on the 22nd at 20:30 is the ECB. These three are the focus.
Second, the Jackson Hole Symposium is always watched closely. It runs from the 22nd to the 24th. In particular, on the 23rd at 23:00, Powell is scheduled to speak. This is especially notable.
Third, the G7 summit will be held from the 24th to the 26th this weekend. Since it starts on Saturday, it might not directly affect the markets, but it could influence positioning for early next week, so it’s worth watching.
Last week, risk-off moves caused big swings, and I think risk-off could affect this week as well. However, with Jackson Hole and the G7 big events approaching at the weekend, midweek may see little movement and a wait-and-see stance. Still, I think risk-off and the aforementioned points may move, so I want to seize those timing opportunities. Let’s do our best this week as well. This was Okachan-man.
