In the manga “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End,” the words spoken by Frieren’s disciple Furln (Feilyn) to the warrior Stark. I’ve heard there are readers who dislike Furln as an anti, but there are also good lines.

“It was when I first fought a demon. I had trained more than enough up to that point. But fear made my legs tremble, and I ran away. A demon that kept coming closer and closer. For some reason, Lady Frieren did not come to help me. Cornered, I steeled myself and looked back, and my body moved.

It’s merely gambling, and first and foremost it’s about surviving.
