"The best trader is a minimalist" (from "Day Trader")
“They notice two or three methods that work stably, and then they repeat using them. There is value in repetition.” As someone who has tried many methods and given up, and is still searching, I feel a pang of resonance (lol).
I’ve been playing billiards since I was young. I can’t even count how many cues I own (sweat). But strangely, there are cues I like more than others, and I only use those.
A reliable cue, empirically with a higher probability of pocketing, simply a cool-looking cue, and there’s a something that can’t be broken down logically—there’s something that feels right for me even if I can’t explain why. “It suits me even though I don’t understand the reason.”
I try many things, but ultimately they converge to one.
It might be a universal phenomenon that applies to any field.
Trading is no exception, perhaps.
I decided to declutter both billiard cues, methods, and indicators!
Aim for minimalism!
See you next time.
