「立つ鳥跡を濁さず」（石破さん退陣に思う）
A proverb you hear often. It seems to mean that someone who leaves should do so neatly, not making a spectacle, and go away cleanly.
I hear that Prime Minister Ishiba was threatening with a hint of dissolution inside the Liberal Democratic Party after September by those who want to oust Ishiba. Is this perhaps how he felt at that time?
“What’s done is done; let the chips fall where they may.”
It would be the exact opposite meaning of “leaving without muddying the departure,” though...
I reminded myself not to forget the beauty of knowing when to step back.
