In trading, hope is a disease and must be avoided at all costs (from "Day Trading").
Even after crossing the stop-loss line, I am not cutting losses and am simply praying to luck; I understand that feeling all too well (laughs). I can’t move, and my thoughts have frozen. Looking at the unrealized losses makes the mood even worse. It’s not good for mental health, so this is a moment to exit quickly.
It is said that “hope is like a drug that robs you of intellectual judgment,” a stern warning indeed.
Hope is an enemy, isn’t it?
Well then, see you next time.
