"You can’t just erase what you’ve done. What matters is what you do afterward." (Midnight Diner)
TV drama based on Abeno Yaro's manga "Midnight Diner."
A fictional bar "Meshiya" in Shinjuku Golden Gai, depicting the lives of its customers in single-episode stories.
I especially loved the sadness of the customers living in the big city of Shinjuku.
My favorite line is the line in the title.
The main story is about Gen, a street punk who disappeared after stabbing the rival head of a yakuza who was his superior, and who shares his tale.
"Boss, you're making it easy for yourself by making me clean up your mess, aren't you?" Master
"I knew you'd say that," Gen
"What matters is not what happened, but what you do afterward." Master
"But... I can't undo what I've done..." Gen
"Not being able to undo it isn't an excuse for just lamenting and doing nothing, is it?" Master
"...Thanks..." Gen, about to leave
"Hey! Eat ramen here before you go. Today I'll put on seaweed properly for you."
After that, I think Gen turns himself in to the police.
In trading terms, this scene would be a perfect analogy.
I grabbed a falling knife and deepened into a long-napang...
"Ah, it's an enormous unrealized loss..."
Will I cut a large amount of loss?
Or will I face it with further averaging?
Crying and praying won't do you any good! That's the lesson this says.
See you next time.
