Features of Scalping EA
A scalping EA is an EA that aims for profit by piling up small price moves with a win rate around 70%.
It operates mainly on relatively short timeframes (1 minute to 15 minutes) and repeats many trades in a short period.
In most cases, the logic includes
・Follow the trend on higher timeframes
・Enter and exit on short timeframes using counter-trend
and the idea of “buying on dips and selling on rallies.”
There is also a famous category focusing on the morning hours in Japan time, called “Asa-Scalping.”
This type includes some that mainly use counter-trend strategies, showing the diversity of EAs.
Additionally, there are types that enter at the moment of breaking a high or low.
What happens when you actually run it?
Most scalping EAs enter on counter-trend, so they tend to have longer drawdown periods.
Therefore, stop losses (SL) are often set fairly deep,
and tend to become the “small gains with large losses over time” type.

・But with a win rate around 70%, aiming for overall profit
