Just keep trading steadily, day by day. [木里ゆう]
Last week was a Long Festival. I didn’t make many good trades…。
New coin-toss trading rule using Heikin-Ashi
■Currency pair and time frame
Display Heikin-Ashi on the daily chart for GBP/JPY
■Trading rules (updated October 23, 2018)
→ Buy when the current day's daily Heikin-Ashi is bullish, sell when bearish
→ Profit target is 60 pips, stop loss is 50 pips, set as OCO
→ Do not trade if the daily Heikin-Ashi is a doji, or if the body is short
■Notes
・Do not hold three or more positions at the same time
・Do not hold positions in the same direction with price differences within 50 pips
・Trading only once per day
■Other
・In the article, “○ = take profit” and “× = stop loss” are used.
・The first trading rule is explained as, “I started the coin-toss trading that I had been curious about for a long time.”
・For the latest trading rules, please check the most recent article.
・This trade started with a rule of buying on the coin-toss face and selling on the back, but at a certain point it began to decide buy/sell based on the color of Heikin-Ashi. Still, since it follows the original idea, the name coin toss has not been changed.

We asked the FX攻略.com editorial team member Shikanai to inquire about the method results shown in this column. Shy Yuu Kinoshita appears in an animation?! The method is extremely simple and easy to understand, and watching it in video makes it exceptionally clear.

This is an interview video that traces Yuu Kinoshita’s FX history. The body of the Heikin-Ashi was short, so skipped.

Payoff ratio and win rate
Since changing the take-profit to 60 pips and stop-loss to 50 pips, results are 16 wins and 27 losses, a modestly unfavorable balance. The sample size is still small, and I don’t worry too much about the performance.
However, while trading, I feel a difference versus settings of take-profit 100 pips and stop-loss 90 pips. The payoff ratio (average profit ÷ average loss) is 1.1, whereas the current setting is 1.2. If this number is good, the win rate tends to drop, leading to a sequence of losses and a noticeable impact on mental state.
Reactivated hedged accounts are steady
The recently restarted hedged swap and carry trades have already covered the spread cost of 8,800 yen and turned into a profit.♪
I will continue to proceed cautiously like this.
Bonus
Lately I enjoy walking in the downtown on off days. This time I visited Yanaka Ginza.
