～ The green light isn’t always green forever ～

FX auto trading, this is Reiwa’s Double-i-E, the EA developer.

This time, “the important perspective that a currently performing EA may not remain strong in the future” will be discussed.

This is a topic I’ve talked about at online seminars,
but this time I’ll use more everyday examples to explain clearly.

Are there times when the green light remains green?

For example, if you’re driving a car,
and the signal in front of you isa green light, what do you do?

You think, “Okay, go ahead!” right?
But that green signal,it doesn’t stay green forever, does it?

Normally, it will change to yellow, then red, and eventually you must stop at a certain timing.

This “signal change” also applies directly to EA operation.

EA performance changes when market conditions change

EA is basically a trading tool that runs with a fixed logic (strategy).

If that logic fits the current market environment, its performance will naturally be good.
It’s like smoothly proceeding the way a green light allows.

However, market conditions are not always the same.

A market that was trending becomes a range-bound market

Interest rate policies or economic indicators change the market direction

Volatility suddenly changes

When these changes occur, the EA logic that used to work no longer applies.

In other words, the signal changes from blue to yellow to red.

Are you ready to stop?

In driving, when the signal turns yellow, you can slow down with the sense, “I should stop soon.”

In EA operation, the same applies,
with the mindset of,
“things are good now, but a downturn may come someday.”

Conversely,

If you’re winning now, you might increase your lot size

Or you might start to believe you will win forever

With that kind of thinking, when the signal turns red you may slam on the brakes and crash.

Summary: EA operation requires awareness that signals change

The most important thing in EA operation is the awareness to prepare for ever-changing markets.

Even if things are good now, downturns may come

That’s why risk management and a diversified portfolio are important

And selecting EAs with downturn considerations in mind

If you engage with EA with this “awareness that signals change”
I’m confident you’ll approach long-term stable operation.
