EA programs do not change!
Understand the causes of performance variation correctly

This time, we will explain in detail a common question in EA operation,
“The contents of the EA shouldn’t change, so why do results differ by account?”
as the theme.
EA trades according to a predetermined set of rules
First, what is an EA—a program that trades based on predetermined rules (logic).
Unlike humans, it does not become emotional or fall into a posturing disease, and it trades calmly according to the rules.
A major benefit of EA operation isthat it avoids unnecessary trades and waits patiently for opportunities.
Even at this point, you can say thatEA is a wonderful tool.
However, there is something even more important.
It is the fact that **“the contents of the EA program do not change.”**
The EA program does not change!
What this means is,
✔Even if you switch brokerage firms or change account types, the EA program itself does not change at all.
✔No matter which account you run it on, it operates with the same logic.
This is the basics of EA.
If you change the brokerage or account each time,it would be frightening if the contents of the EA changed by itself
“When I wake up in the morning, all the funds in the account are gone…”
If that happened, you could not operate with peace of mind.
But don’t worry.
The EA program does not change, andit will trade under the same rules no matter where it is run..
Still, why does it feel like performance differs?
“Then why does it feel like performance changes if I switch accounts?”
Some may think that way.
In fact, when performance seems different, it is highly likely that changes in the account or environment are causing the effect rather than EA itself.
The causes of EA performance differences include the following:.
✔ You changed accounts
Different brokers have different spreads and latency in order execution.
Even the same EA may see lower win rate when spreads widen.
✔ Change from PC to VPS
→Communication environment changes can causes timing of entries and exits to drift slightly.
Scalping EAs are particularly sensitive to environmental changes.
✔ Change funds or lots
→Changing lot sizes also changes the range of profit and loss.
Psychologically, this makes you feel that the performance changed.
✔ Run other EAs as well
→Running multiple EAs on the same account can cause orders to overlap and affect results.
✔ Run multiple MT4 instances simultaneously
→Running multiple MT4s on the same account increases resource load and can slow processing.
If you feel results have changed, look at the areas that changed!
When EA performance changes,
it is essential to first check whether the issue is with the EA or if something in the environment has changed..
The cause of performance changes is almost certainly the changed environment, not the EA.
If you understand the basic principle that the EA program itself does not change,
you will be able to calmly analyze the causes instead of immediately thinking, “The EA is at fault.”.
