Sometimes I borrow the power of ChatGPT. Its 123
FX Automated Trading, the Reiwa Double-E (EA) developer.
This series has been written with the aim of posting every day since last year.
Probably I’ve continued it for almost a year now!
If you read what I’ve written so far,
I believe you’ll come closer to better EA operation.
And, since I’d like to take a short break,
I will continue posting with the help of ChatGPT.
Occasionally, I will post irregularly as before.
【Basics of EA Operation】
The EA program does not get rewritten!
Understand the causes of performance fluctuations correctly
FX automated trading, the Reiwa Double-E.
This time, we will explain in detail a question many people have in EA operation,
“Why do results differ by account when the EA’s inner code should not change?”
as a theme.
EA trades according to predetermined rules
First, EA isa program that trades based on preset rules (logic).
Like humans, it does not become emotional or fall into the trading trap; it trades steadily according to the rules.
A major advantage of EA operation isthat it avoids unnecessary trades and waits patiently for opportunities.
At this point, you can already say thatEA is a wonderful tool.
However, there is something even more important here.
That is the fact that **“the inner program of the EA does not change.”**
The EA program does not change!
What this means is,
✔Even if you switch brokers or change account types, the EA program itself does not change at all.
✔No matter which account you run it on, it will operate with the same logic.
This is the basic of EA.
If you change brokers or accounts each time, and the contents of the EA change on its own, that would be frightening, right?
“When I wake up, all my account funds have vanished…”
If that happened, you couldn’t run it with peace of mind.
But don’t worry.
The EA program does not change, andit will trade according to the same rules wherever it runs.
Then why does it feel like performance differs?
“So why did the performance change when I changed accounts?”
Some may think that.
In fact, when performance seems different,
it is more likely that the environment or account changed, not the EA itself..
Factors that can affect EA performance include the following:
✔ Changed account
→Spreads and liquidity differ by broker.
Even with the same EA, wider spreads can reduce win rate.
✔ Changed from PC to VPS
→Network conditions can shift entry and exit timings slightly.
Scalping EAs are especially sensitive to environment.
✔ Changed funds or lots
→Changing lot size changes the fluctuation range of profit and loss.
Psychologically, this makes you feel like “the performance changed.”
✔ Running other EAs as well
→Running multiple EAs on the same account can cause their order timings to overlap and affect results.
✔ Launching multiple MT4s at once
→Running multiple MT4s on the same account increases resource load and may slow processing.
If you feel the results changed, focus on the parts that changed!
If there is a change in EA performance,
first confirm that the issue is not EA-related but due to some environmental change.
The reasons for performance changes are almost certainly the influence of a changed environment, not the EA.
If you understand the basic that the EA program does not change,
you will not immediately assume “the EA is at fault” when performance differs, and you can calmly analyze the cause.
Summary
✅EA trades calmly according to predetermined rules
✅The EA program itself does not change (no changes when brokers or accounts change)
✅Differences in results are mostly due to changes in environment, not EA
✅If you feel results changed, check what changed
In EA operation, understanding the influence of environment and settings and responding calmly is the key to success.
“Assuming the EA program does not change” is a premise you should firmly hold, and aim for more stable operation!
See you!
