This series has been written aiming for daily posts since last year.
Probably we have continued for almost a full year!
If you read what I’ve written so far,
you’ll surely move closer to better EA operation.
Also, there are times when I’d like to take a short break,
so I’ll continue posting with the help of ChatGPT.
Occasionally I will post irregularly, like in the past.
Thinking about the gap between FX beginners and EA developers
FX automated trading, Reiwa's Double-E as an EA developer.
I am currently active as an EA developer, but I didn’t start on this path from the beginning.
Like everyone else, I was a FX beginner, and I arrived here through trial and error.
During that time, a hypothesis occurred to me.
“FX beginners do not all become EA developers.”
Of course this is obvious, but
in other words, there might be a difference in mindset between people who became developers due to some factor from their FX beginner days and those who did not.I think there is a difference in mindset.
Differences in mindset between EA developers and general FX beginners
If this hypothesis is correct, I may have had a “developer mindset” since I was an FX beginner.
In other words, rather than facing the market as a normal trader, I may have had a perspective of building mechanisms and analyzing the market logically.
Thinking that way, even if I develop and sell an EA, there may be parts that are hard for ordinary FX traders to grasp.
In other words, when selling an EA, the developer’s perspective may be too strong and diverge from the actual user’s point of view.
The difference between a saleable EA and truly excellent EA
On the other hand, even if someone becomes an EA developer from an FX beginner, if their development skills aren’t very high, they may be more likely to empathize with the user’s feelings.
EA created by such developers may be marketing-friendly and easier to sell.
This does not mean that “poor-performing EAs sell well.”
However, I feel there is an aspect that developers whose explanations use easily understandable language for general FX traders are more readily accepted by more people.
The problem of truly good EAs being hard to communicate
If this hypothesis is correct, truly excellent EAs may be hard for the general public to understand.
Conversely, even EAs with not-so-great performance can be likely to succeed in the market depending on how they are marketed.
This is a major challenge for EA developers.
How to convey an EA with outstanding logic to users in an easy-to-understand way.
And, while conveying a solid operation mindset, spreading EAs that truly help users make profits is important.
I feel again that we should continue exploring this and share better information.
