However, there is a field where automation has progressed even more than the automotive industry. That is the FX automated trading, EA (Expert Advisors). In the FX industry, automation is already becoming commonplace.
Common Ground between Autonomous Driving and FX Automated Trading
In autonomous driving, you do not engage in speeding or dangerous driving. To follow traffic laws and drive safely, the time to reach a destination is within expectations, though you might sometimes want to arrive faster.
The same can be said for FX automated trading. Introducing automated trading may reveal that you had been taking excessive risks with manual trading. For example, taking overly reckless risks that could lead to long-term collapse.
The Importance of Risk Management
If reckless actions are repeated in car driving, eventually an accident happens; similarly, in FX automated trading, if risk management is lax, you will almost certainly fail. However, by enforcing risk management, you can push the risk of failure to nearly zero.
In FX automated trading, risk management is realized by correctly calculating the relationship between operating funds and lot sizes. Once you acquire this skill, you can use automated trading more safely and efficiently.
