Notes on Compounding Operation Mode in EAs
FX automated trading, Reiwa's Double-Eye EA development.
In my EA there is no problem, but for EA products from other developers, the default is sometimes compounded operation mode, so please be very careful about this.
Risks when Compound Operation Mode is Default
If you use such an EA as part of a portfolio on an account where other EAs are running, and you do not notice that compounding mode is ON, you may face the following risks:

The set simple-interest operation lot size may not be reflected

Since the compounding mode automatically adjusts the lot size, for example, you might have set 0.01 lots with 100,000 yen as capital, but suddenly 0.1 lots, and trades may begin in large lots.
This leads to unexpected trading volume, increasing risk, and in some cases possible capital destruction.
Why compounding becomes default
Developers choose compounding by default because compounding grows capital faster, making rising profits more apparent.
In compounding, as capital increases, lot sizes also increase, and profits rise accordingly. This can make it seem that you are earning much more than with other simple-interest EAs.
Solutions and cautions
However, for users, this can bring about unexpected risks, so it is important to check the following:

Check the listing page
Before purchasing, carefully review the EA listing page and check whether the forward test and the parameters at purchase are set to compounding mode. -
Check parameters after purchase
After purchasing, review the EA's parameter settings and verify whether the default is set to compounding mode.
My EA characteristics
By the way, all EAs I offer default to simple-interest operation. Therefore you can use them without worrying about lot settings.
When using an EA, clearly understanding your own settings is important, and adjust parameters as needed. Taking a little effort can help you avoid unexpected risks, so please check before you start operating.
