Efficient ways to use Contrarian Strategy
We appreciate your continued support.
I am Teramura from the Tool Development Team at CrossRetailing Co., Ltd.
Thank you very much for your daily use of the Tool Development Team's tools.
Today,
“Contrarian Strategy” will be taught for efficient use.
Contrarian Strategy uses an indicator that may be unfamiliar,
called Force Index, and
is a tool that signals at contrarian timing.
Also,it is a USDJPY 1-minute chart only tool, and
its usage requires a bit of tact.
First, regarding the time frame, since it is USDJPY, signals tend to appear
during New York time (around 22:00 local time).
Therefore, it is also effective to use this tool only during the evening hours.
▼ Outside New York Time
It’s lonely, isn’t it…
▼ New York Time
Lively!
Also, if you want signals outside New York Time,
changing the parameters can be effective.
Contrarian Strategy has a parameter called “Force_value,”
and by changing this value, you can increase the number of signals.
▼ Steps to change the parameters
------------------------------------
Right-click on the chart where Contrarian Strategy is applied
↓
Click “Indicators displayed (L)”
↓
Double-click Contrarian Strategy
↓
Select the “Inputs” tab
↓
Change the value of “Force_value”
※ Set to 0.6 here (usually 1.0)
↓
OK
------------------------------------
With this parameter change,
the previously quiet New York Time market becomes a bit more active!
(Be careful, as you may see more false signals!)
In this way, Contrarian Strategy can be used by narrowing the time frame or by changing parameters
to achieve a different style of usage.
Please give it a try!
