Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak praises blockchain as an important technology, but believes that Bitcoin is a Ponzi scheme to be avoided.

Barak, who served as prime minister from 1999 to 2001, made the above comment at an event titled Globes Most Promising Startups held in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Recently, Barak invested in the medical cannabis company InterCure Ltd and serves on its board. When asked whether medical cannabis might be a bubble like Bitcoin, he replied, “That is not the case.”
