And in addition, some vendors earn the label of “unscrupulous product sellers.”
As Reiwa’s Double-E, I feel responsible for the overall health of the industry,
and I sometimes spend resources to carefully examine various products.
The important thing is verifying data
In that context, there is one thing I can say with certainty:
Always verify data for any product.
Specifically, it is crucial to check backtesting and forward testing data.
Honestly, for a genuine EA developer, disclosing these test data is natural.
Don’t be swayed by ultra-short-term explosive gains
There are products that show only ultra-short-term boom profits in screenshots.
But that alone is not enough to judge.
To put it mildly, it’s better not to buy such products.

Behind-the-scenes: Offers from unscrupulous sellers
Here’s a side story: sometimes unscrupulous product sellers also offer listing EA for me.
If I were to accept such an offer and publish the EA, what would happen?
Even if it’s truly a highly profitable EA,
just being “listed by unscrupulous sellers” would make people think it can’t win.
In other words, it would be a judgment by “people who can’t tell the difference.”
What to train is the ability to scrutinize data properly
When choosing products or EAs, it is important to cultivate the ability to thoroughly scrutinize data.
You need the skill to judge how suitable the data is for real operation by looking at backtests and forward tests.
Summary
When choosing EAs or products, always verify data.
Among that data, backtests and forward tests are especially important.
Without being fooled by unscrupulous products or vendors,
develop the ability to make correct decisions based on data—this is a step toward successful EA management.
