That answer is,
“The inadequacy of risk management” is a very large factor.
Not only beginners to EA,
even users who sometimes say “I am not a beginner in EA,”
when you actually talk to them, often do not understand how to calculate risk management.
Honestly, this is a typical pattern for beginners.
Mistakes in risk management
The thing you must not do most in EA operation is,
to simply take others’ words at face value.
Regarding risk management in EA, there are various correct approaches, but the real mistake is leaving it to others.
Risk management is not something to be entrusted to EA developers or third parties; it is something the user themselves must do.
Because only the individual knows how much risk they can tolerate.
Risk tolerance and the possibility of ruin
When performing risk management, you must carefully consider how much risk you can tolerate.
For example, you need to verify whether there is a possibility that the EA will collapse if you tolerate risk.
Review past backtest data, analyze how the EA moved under various market conditions, and
compare with your own capital to understand the operating risk.
Only after this can you say you are managing risk properly.
