A43. Basic operations are not much different, but indicators and EAs are not compatible
MT5 Basics
- Released by MetaQuotes, the developer, in 2011
- The company announced the end of MT4 development and promotion of MT5 in 2016
- MT4 and MT5 are separate software. Upgrades cannot be applied across
- Japanese FX brokers have not yet supported it (overseas they have switched)
- In Japan, switch is expected to happen
- Basically MT4 operations are still applicable
