【9 o'clock Foot Scalping】Yesterday was the difference of one tear
Good morning. I'm An-chan?
Thank you for purchasing this issue.
Accepting a loss and using it to connect to the next day is the most important thing as an investor.
Because the job of an investor is always exposed to risk, and still the job is to seize the market’s gaps and make profits.
As for that “gap”..., honestly, entry timing can be anyone’s issue.
The problem is… “taking profits.”
Where should I take profits???
Previous lows and highs? Round numbers? … profit-taking if it suddenly stretches up sharply?
There are various types of profit-taking, right?
Which is correct? The correct answer is… “there is no single correct answer.”
The next moment is darkness—that’s FX’s common sense, and even a second ahead is darkness.
That’s why “taking profits is a thousand-person strength.”
Among such circumstances, there was one trade that caused tears that day.
It was a chasing opportunity trade. That day, both the forward and return legs were profitable, aiming for a three-win streak.
I positioned long aiming around 153.00 for taking profits.
But! …
Mercilessly, just about 10 pips away it retraced and I hit a stop loss of -8.8 pips for that day.
I have continued to collect performance data on the reach rate to this take-profit line.
Typically, the weekly average reach rate is about 100% to 85%.
Last week’s figures are as follows.
2/7 S22.0 L(23.1) LL46.3
2/6 S15.7 L27.2 LL-8.0
2/5 S16.3 L-13.2 21.0
2/4 L24.0 S26.1
2/3 L42.2 S34.7 SS93.4
TTL=347.7 pips Reach rate 84.6%
Last week’s gained pips were 347.7 pips, and the take-profit line reach rate was 84.6% with 13 trades
and 11 reached.
With such a high reach rate, I aim for OO, and even if the price moves against me and unrealized gains evaporate, I simply cut losses calmly.
There is no emotion in that… I can’t say that.
After all, I feel like “Oh, what a waste, so frustrating…” and feel compelled, but
since there’s a track record, I have no choice but to face forward and give up (or move on).
Looking back and regretting serves no purpose in the world of investing.
We will review, but we must move forward.
Well then, everyone, take care ( `ー´)ノ
