Check the period in the forward performance

When looking at forward performance, one thing you must always check is the measurement period.
For example, this EA

The revenue chart of official operation looks like the image below.
It seems to have a nice upward slope, right?
But wait a moment.
When you look at the horizontal axis period, it seems like they’re only showing the good parts, doesn’t it?
In fact, when you display “all periods,” it changes as follows.
It is indeed upward trending, but there are occasional downward dips (i.e., losses) at various points, right?
But this is the actual operation, isn’t it?
There is no such thing as absolute in investing.
Similarly, there is no 100% profit guarantee for an EA.
We should expect an operation that alternates losses and gains and ultimately leaves a profit.
I believe that is what the expectancy value in investing is about.
Therefore, if the forward performance progresses in the same way as the backtest,
and the forward measurement period is as long as possible,
If these two conditions are met, you can choose EA based on backtest data.
