“backtests.”
So, as users
“to discern the quality of an EA,”
you need the skill to evaluate backtests.
With that in mind, this series
will describe “how to find winning EAs from backtests.”
【On Average Winning Trades and Losing Trades】
This is not considered when evaluating an EA’s quality, but
this item will naturally be determined by the type of EA.
Average win : loss = 1 : 2 ⇒ scalping, win rate around 70%
Average win : loss = 2 : 1 ⇒ trend following, win rate around 40%
Average win : loss = 1 : 1 ⇒ anomalies, win rate in the 50% range
Naturally, it tends to be like this.
So there are no strong suits or weaknesses.
They simply exist as a type of EA.
In other words,
it is crucial to incorporate these EAs evenly into a portfolio.
