The upcoming RBA (Australian central bank) policy meeting is expected to hold rates steady. Market participants are focusing more on the statement than the policy itself. Recently the RBA expressed concerns regarding debt issues. What are the concerns for future policy? What is the outlook? The statement deserves close attention.

3) US and Canada after Labor Day
US and Canada resume after holidays; markets will truly reopen worldwide. Geopolitical risks and officials’ remarks require attention. US-China tariffs/trade war may include plans for additional tariffs of up to $200 billion this week. NAFTA renegotiations with Canada begin tomorrow. Also watch North Korea, Iran, Turkey, Israel, Russia and other countries in conflict with the US. Caution advised.
