October 25 (Wed): 【Harmonic】 Nikkei 225 VS Dollar/Yen (Lecture: Q&A Introduction)
Good morning ☀
This time I’m going to introduce questions.
Q.When do you look at charts? Do you look at them all the time?
A.Only in the morning and at night. I hardly look during the day.
There are times when I set alerts on TradingView for milestones, but recently I’ve stopped doing even that.
In my daily life,
I transport my son to his classes, so after he comes home from elementary school I’m not in front of the PC until the kids go to bed.
15:00–22:00 is my off-time.
Q.How much do you earn per year?
A.I won’t state a literal amount because it’s a bit personal, but I make 10,000 pips per year on an ongoing basis.
Q.How many trades do you make?
A.Combined with the “?” question, it’s basically the same as mentioning annual income… lol
I can’t Entry large lots like 1,000,000 units, but I can trade in 10 rounds of 100,000 units each.
Splitting is typically 10–20 rounds, but I can’t easily describe how to split; details are being written in the “Trading Techniques.”
I split for the sake of the “Trading Techniques.”
Q.Do you earn easily?
A.I’ve had positive results every year for over 10 years, but I’ve never thought it was easy even once.
When I was a beginner, I was hubristic, thinking “profit from the market is becoming easy,” and I paid for that with hard lessons?
The more experience I gain, the more I become conservative.
First, reduce risk to the extreme.
And gradually accumulate profits, even if only a little.
There is no get-rich-quick scenario.
Aim for trades that steadily earn you money!
Q.Do you live a luxurious life?
A.Not at all lol
For lunch, I usually have white rice with store-bought curry or ochazuke lol
Sometimes I go out to buy, but it’s around 500 yen for a bento lol
Also, I’m not interested in luxury cars, brand-name goods, or clothes.
I live a normal life lol
If anything, I like leather goods?
Q.Do you play golf every day?
A.I love golf ⛳, but I have two kids and they’re still small, so I can’t go often?
When it was just my son, I used to participate in monthly home-course competitions about once a month, but now it’s about once every three months at best?
I practice 10–30 minutes a day in my room, hitting balls lol
Still, my son’s baseball⚾ is becoming my main focus.
Q.Until when will you continue the newsletter and such?
A.My daughter starts kindergarten next year, so morning posts may become difficult (I’ll be doing the drop-offs).
I’m still thinking about it, but since I’ve received requests to continue, I plan to keep it going.
(Posting times may change. Please understand.)
Q.Should I set up my trading environment?
A.People ask about the number of monitors, PC specs, etc., but
I think you should have a certain level of setup as an initial investment.
However, it’s important to control expenditures as well.
So I’d say do what you can within a reasonable range.
- Middle-class PC (no need for high-end)
- Two monitors are convenient (though not essential)
- Read books generally regarded as good (Investing books, Market Wizards, etc.)
(Investing Garden, Market Wizards, etc…)
- Generally it’s best to study trading alone, but if you seek guidance, pick one person you truly trust and consult only them.
Hearing many opinions can make things confusing. Be careful not to be deceived!
- At first, use TradingView free?
- For chairs... if you have back pain, it’s worth buying a good one!!!
I used to think chairs aren’t that different, but when I bought an Ergohuman chair after moving to a new house, my life changed lol
(Maybe because my previous chair was under 10,000 yen?)
Q.Is your house a mansion?
A.I built it with cash, so it’s a modest custom home. Not a mansion lol
But it has full-house air conditioning, so it’s comfortable year-round.
If I were advising someone building a house now...
- Full-house air conditioning is recommended lol
- Don’t assume safety just because a big company built it. Large firms also have many defective houses?
(M…, H…, T…, I…, S…; those kinds of firms are often criticized, and you can see them on YouTube as well.)
If you visit a housing showroom, never sign your name there ❕❕
(That’s how you seal a contract with a salesman!)
Q.Will you teach your son or daughter investing?
A.I would like to teach them eventually.
However, I want them to experience real work in society and lead a small department someday.
Personally, I was a pharmacist manager with ten subordinates in a small department, and I still think it was a great experience.
If you have more questions, feel free to ask anytime ??
Today I will look at the comparison with the “USD/JPY”.
