October 25 (Wed): [Bollinger Bands] Nikkei 225 vs USD/JPY (Course: Q&A Introduction)
Good morning☀
This time I think I’ll introduce questions.
Q.When do you look at the chart? Do you always look?
A.Only in the morning and at night. I don’t look much during the day.
There are times like milestones when I set TradingView alerts, but lately I don’t even do that much.
As part of my lifestyle,
I drive my son to his lessons, so after he gets home from elementary school I’m not in front of the PC until the kids go to bed.
Off time is 15-22:00.
Q.How much do you earn per year?
A.I won’t state the exact amount because it’s real, but I’m earning around 10,000 pips per year.
Q.How many trades do you make?
A.Combined with the question of revenue, it’s the same thing… lol
I can’t enter with large lots like 1,000,000 units, but I can trade in 10 segments of 100,000 units each.
Splitting is usually 10-20 times, but how I split and the method aren’t easy to write, so details are being written in “Trading Techniques.”
I split into 10-20 parts for the sake of “Trading Techniques.”
Q.Do you earn easily?
A.I’ve been consistently positive for over 10 years, but I’ve never thought it was easy.
In my beginner days I became overconfident thinking, “It’s getting easy to profit from the market,” and paid a painful price?
The more I gain experience, the more cautious I become.
First, reduce risk to the extreme.
Then, gradually build up profits, even if slowly.
There is no get-rich-quick path.
Aim for trades that consistently earn money!
Q.Do you live a luxurious life?
A.Not at all lol
For lunch, it’s mostly white rice with canned curry or ochazuke lol
Occasionally I go out to buy something, but it’s around 500 yen bento meals lol
Also, I’m not interested in luxury cars, brand-name items, or clothes.
I live a normal life lol
If I had to say, I like leather goods?
Q.Do you play golf every day?
A.I love golf ⛳, but I have two kids and they’re still small, so I can’t go much ?
When it was just my son, I used to enter monthly in home course monthly contests, but now it’s about once every three months at best?
I practice in my room every day for 10-30 minutes, hitting balls lol
But it’s increasingly becoming focused on my son’s baseball ⚾
Q.Until when will you continue the newsletter?
A.Since my daughter starts kindergarten next year, morning posts may be difficult (the pickups are for me)
I’m thinking about it, but since there are voices wanting me to continue, I plan to continue.
(Posting times will change. Please understand.)
Q.Should I set up a trading environment?
A.People ask about number of monitors, PC specs, etc., but
I think you should prepare some basics as initial investment.
But it’s important to keep costs down as well.
So I’d say trade within a reasonable range?
- Mid-range PC (no need for high-end)
- Two monitors are convenient (but not mandatory)
- Read generally well-regarded books on investing and markets.
(Investing, Market Wizards, etc…)
- Basically it’s better to study trading alone, but if you need guidance, pick one person you truly trust.
If you listen to many opinions you’ll get confused. But beware of being scammed!
- Initially use TradingView free?
- Regarding chairs, if you have back pain, you can buy a good one!!!
I thought chairs wouldn’t matter much, but after buying an Ergohuman chair for my new home, it changed my life www
(Maybe because before that I had a chair costing less than 10,000 yen?)
Q.Is your house a mansion?
A.I built it with cash, so it’s a paid-off custom home. It’s by no means a mansion lol
However, it has whole-house air conditioning, so it’s comfortable year-round.
If I were to advise someone building a house now…
- Whole-house air conditioning is recommended lol
- Don’t assume big brands are flawless; large brands also have defective houses?
(M…, H…, T…, I…, S… these are contractors with frequent defects? YouTube has plenty about them.)
If you visit a home show, do not ever sign your name!
(That’s how you make deals with salespeople!)
Q.Will you teach your son or daughter investing?
A.I do intend to teach them someday.
But I’d like them to experience society and lead a small department above others at least once.
Personally, I once managed a small department as a hospital pharmacist supervisor with ten subordinates, and I think it was a valuable experience.
If you have more questions, feel free to ask anytime ??
Today I plan to look at a comparison with the ‘USD/JPY’.
