coinmarketcap: Dominance steady-state observation

From the CoinMarketCap site, we will monitor dominance (the percentage of each coin in the total cryptocurrency market capitalization) at fixed intervals. By updating every Monday, the aim is to provide an overview of the cryptocurrency industry.


Here, we reference the year-to-date chart and pick the top 5 coins and Others.

Bitcoin:42.75%

Ethereum:17.72%

Bitcoin Cash:4.88%

Litecoin:1.76%

Ripple:6.86%

Others:21.96%


For reference, we also display the chart when the period is set to “All.” It seems that the era of one Bitcoin dominance is over and we are entering a period of a multi-kingdom (battleground) era.
