What is the market for feature phone traders?? What is the financial industry??
Hello everyone, nice to meet you. My name is Hayato Igarashi (Garake Trader). As the name suggests, I love feature phones and trade about 70% of my trades on a Garake. ● A兼業 trader who works as a sales manager in a corporate job while also handling FX trading on Garake ● Garake method: a hybrid investment method that combines day trading to swing trading and mid-to-long-term trading First, the reason I became a trader: I learned the market from my close friend and mentor who used to work at Nomura Securities. I started with scalping and day trading on the dollar-stroke, and have traded a variety of currency pairs. After trial and error with many trading approaches, now I trade day trading about one-third to one-half of the time, and since around the second Abe Shinzo administration, further evolving, developing, and refining the mid-to-long-term trading that my mentor first taught me, I now blend day trading, swing trading, and mid-to-long-term trading into a hybrid approach. For the traded currency pairs, currently for day trading to swing trading I mainly trade USD/JPY, EUR/JPY, and some dollar crosses; for swing to mid-to-long-term trading I trade USD/TRY, USD/ZAR, USD/BRL, EUR/RUB, GBP/PLN, etc. (AUD/JPY and NZD/JPY are also partially held). Occasionally I trade other currency pairs a few times per month. Also, as a global macro strategy, I invest in commodities, futures, ETFs, stock index CFDs, individual stocks, crude oil, gold, and Bitcoin. In particular, with commodities, futures, ETFs, and stock index CFDs, I use them as FX hedges. The old mobile phone is working again today, and I just barely made it home on the last train.

Like this, I was working again today, but in the gaps from the afternoon to the evening, I joined investment friends, and also visited the exhibition by Naoki-san, a fellow investor, featuring photos of the Snow Night Train, which we sneaked into.

Like Naoki-san, I am a railway enthusiast (a train nerd for riding trains), and I have long wanted to visit Naoki-san’s photo exhibition, and at last my wish came true.

The photos Naoki-san took are wonderful, and what’s amazing is that for this shoot, he borrowed a car from Tsugaru Railway and turned off the vehicle’s electricity, shooting by the light of a fireplace—an extremely particular approach.

Today was the final day of the photo exhibit, and it was very crowded.

Naoki-san, thank you very much for taking the time to meet with us despite your busy schedule.


Now, regarding this week’s market, as last week, there are whispers about a possible “US-China wrestling match” in anticipation of the US midterm elections, and we will be watching the flow of US-China trade friction. On July 11, the Bank of Canada policy rate is announced, on the 12th US CPI, and finally, unrelated to markets? there will be a live mid-rate trade broadcast by Garake at 9:15 on the 13th at JFX. Just before the last employment statistics LIVE trade, Trump’s preliminary result tweet? and on a previous date when the mid-rate trade was broadcast by GogoJunction, North Korea fired missiles. When Garake conducts live trade broadcasts, the markets tend to get quite volatile, so be careful during Asian trading hours on Friday.

With these considerations, I hope to trade carefully while enjoying the market this week as well.
