June 6 (Tue): Nikkei 225 vs. Dow Jones Industrial Average (Chit-chat: trend reversal during full moon or new moon)
Good evening?
I’m sorry, but once again I have to leave early in the morning for my daughter's hospital visit tomorrow, so I will post tomorrow’s content today.
(I plan another rehabilitation at the end of June, so there will be a post the day before.)
This time there isn’t even enough content to call it a “lecture,” so I’ll call it a “chat.”
It’s sometimes heard that market turning points and full moon/new moon align with chart turns (with an error of ±1–2 days).
Whether the market cycle matches the lunar age or not…
There are people who actually trade and make money only during full moon/new moon!
There were quite a few in the past, but…
They have since disappeared from SNS?
So, in reality, how is it? Let’s look at the chart.
It seems to be reversing somewhat, doesn’t it? (the section with the arrow)
So I also keep an eye on full moon and new moon to some extent.
(I display the moon age on my smartphone widget.)
Of course it isn’t absolute, and even market turns have magnitudes and small scales
On a daily chart, it may be just a small corrective wave.
(※❓ mark indicates not a true turning point of full moon/new moon)
So, can it be used for trading? When asked, the answer is…
Honestly, it’s a bit borderline. As of now, it cannot be considered a basis.
If I conducted more meticulous verification, perhaps something could be learned, but I haven’t gone that far, so if you’re curious, please move your own hands and verify it yourself?
Now, continuing from last week, let’s look at the NY Dow.
