I prepared a revenue simulation for a single GPU.
＜Costs＞
Initial cost for 1 GPU: 55,000 yen
Electricity: 72 yen (per day)
2160 yen (per month)
＜Profit＞
(ETH price assumed at 65,000 yen)
ETH mined per day: 0.0023 ETH = 150 yen
ETH mined per month (30 days): 0.069 ETH = 4,485 yen
Monthly mining earnings (4,485 yen) − monthly electricity (2,160 yen) = monthly profit (2,325 yen)
Since 5 GPUs will be running, multiply this by 5 = 11,625 yen
Thus.
This is the typical Ethereum mining income and expenditure.
It would take 23.6 months (about 2 years) to recover the initial cost,
and after that, it becomes profit.
If the ETH price rises to 100,000 yen, the initial cost would be recovered in about 1 year.
Conclusion: to profit from mining
① how to reduce the initial costs (GPU, ASIC, and other mining rigs)
② how to reduce electricity costs (countries with cheap electricity like China are advantageous)
③ how to mine in cold places (the machines heat up, so cooling is needed; considering cooling costs, cold regions and seasons are advantageous)
