May 9 (Tue): Nikkei 225 vs NASDAQ (Course: Four Precepts or Four Ailments)
Good morning☀
Today as well, a discussion about mental.
“Three M of the Market”
Mental (60%) · Money-Management (30%) · Method (10%)
I don’t know how you all think, but I consider the above proportions to be important.
Therefore, even if you chase the “Holy Grail,” it only makes up 10% of the meaning, so I believe the direction of your effort is wrong.
Today“The Four Shields”discussion.
The “Four Shields”are“Surprise: today”・“Dread (Fear): here”・“Doubt:ぎ”・“Confusion: waku”の four are referred to,
and it is an admonition that none of these should arise in one’s mind during training.
It is a phrase particularly used in the world of kendo.
In the world of Japanese martial arts, to make oneself weak is also called“the Four Ills”and is shunned and avoided.
We will explain them one by one.
“Surprise: today”: Things that are surprising or that move the heart by catching one off guard.
“Dread (Fear): here”: To fear (be afraid) of the enemy’s size, bluff, etc.
“Doubt:ぎ”: Not being able to determine the opponent, and not being able to make a decision in one’s own heart.
“Confusion: わく”: To be confused and unable to make quick judgments or actions.
If any one of these four illnesses takes hold,
the peace of mind is disturbed, you cannot fight stably, and you may be exploited by the opponent.
That’s how important mental discussion is.
Isn’t this also something that can apply to the market?
“Surprise: today”: surprising price movement or an unexpected price movement that moves the heart.
“Dread (Fear): here”: the fear of when the market may stop or reverse that you feel.
“Doubt:ぎ”: not being able to determine the market or chart and not being able to make a decision in your own heart.
“Confusion: わく”: to be confused and unable to make quick judgments or actions.Result: “holding with losses”?
☝ It’s just one example, but it seems to apply to the market as well, doesn’t it?
I have experienced it in the past as well.
“Surprise: today”: being surprised by sudden price movement and wandering about?
“Dread (Fear): here”: even if the entry criteria are met, you fear “will it reverse again?” and cannot press the entry button?
“Doubt:ぎ”: you panic and finally press, only for it to reverse right after you enter?
“Confusion: わく”: as a result, you end up with a large unrealized loss and a bottom-out stop?
Are you trading in the same way?
Even so, thinking that you need confidence and
you should not go on a “Holy Grail hunt” to know the future for sure?♂️
The future cannot be known by anyone.
It is a world known only to God.
So what should we do?
That is the scenario.
I’m persistent, but I’ll say it again and again.
In the market, having a scenario is not an exaggeration; it is everything.
It is that important.
The book “A New Book on Bollinger Bands” shows how to construct such scenarios.
A scenario can be built even without Bollinger Bands.
It can be done with Elliott Wave, or with a Ichimoku chart.
Please use whatever you personally find easy to use and can face seriously.
Please first try changing your approach to market thinking, okay?
